Greetings, friends of Hive Blockchain. I have come across a very interesting community that encourages, in a very sublime way, participation in our blockchain through creative writing. It is the community The Ink Well and for this, they have a weekly creative writing initiative, where they give us a message or word to create fictional stories from that message. For the 61st edition of The Ink Well Prompt, the message focuses on Happiness, as well as includes an additional writing skill in our publications. I invite you to get to know this great community, to read in detail its rules, as they are very demanding in this aspect, and to visit not only the contest invitation, but also the great and very creative entries of so many people, who with dedication and care, deliver the best in each publication. This is my entry to participate in this week's challenge.

Saludos, amigos de Hive Blockchain. Me he encontrado una comunidad muy interesante y que fomenta, de una manera muy sublime, la participación en nuestra blockchain a través de la escritura creativa. Se trata de la comunidad The Ink Well y para ello, tienen una iniciativa semanal de escritura creativa, donde nos entregan un mensaje o palabra para crear historias ficticias a partir de dicho mensaje. Para la edición número 61 de The Ink Well Prompt, el mensaje se centra en la Felicidad, además de incluir una habilidad adicional de escritura en nuestras publicaciones. Te invito a conocer de esta gran comunidad, a leer al detalle sus reglas, ya que son muy exigentes en este aspecto y a visitar, no solo, la invitación al concurso, sino también las geniales y muy creativas participaciones de tantas personas, que con dedicación y esmero, entregan lo mejor en cada publicación. Esta es mi entrada para participar en el reto de esta semana.

A Happy Moment That Overcomes Losses

A great sense of unease overwhelms Robert. Pondering his options, he stares at the computer screen, where a chart shows a zigzagging, clear, red line descending from left to right on the screen. He has been tracking the price of the investment portfolio for which he is responsible and can't help but feel an icy sense of frustration and dread as he sees how all the gains he has made so far could vanish with each new break of the sharp, plunging red line. He shakes his head, takes a deep breath, and prays for some divine intervention to turn the situation around. He rectifies in his mind and in quick thoughts, the investment decisions he has analyzed, suggested, and taken during the last weeks, trying to find some explanation for this debacle that is about to come upon him. Suddenly, his cell phone rings and when he reads the message that has just arrived, his heart skips a beat.

Un Momento Feliz que Supera las Perdidas

Un gran sentimiento de inquietud agobia a Robert. Pensando en sus opciones, mira fijamente la pantalla del computador, donde un gráfico muestra una zigzagueante, clara y roja línea descendente de izquierda a derecha de la misma. Ha estado siguiendo el precio del portafolio de inversiones del cual es responsable y no puede dejar de sentir un gélido sentimiento de frustración y temor, mientras ve como todas las ganancias que ha obtenido hasta el momento, se podrían esfumar en cada nuevo quiebre de la punzante línea roja en picada. Sacude su cabeza, respira profundo e implora por alguna intervención divina que pueda darle un cambio a la situación. Rectifica en su mente y en rápidos pensamientos, las decisiones de inversión que ha analizado, sugerido y tomado durante las últimas semanas, tratando de encontrar alguna explicación a esta debacle que está a punto de venírsele encima. De pronto, su celular repica y al leer el mensaje recién llegado, su corazón da un vuelco total.

With hurried steps, Robert heads to the parking lot in search of his recently purchased brand new BMW vehicle. As he pulls up and presses the button to unlock the doors, his mind focuses on the message from his wife that he received a few minutes ago: «Your time has come, Mr. Robert, and you can't escape this one». Even with the feeling of defeat for the losses he left piling up on his computer chart, he thinks about how he will have to face this new commitment that is coming up in just a few minutes. His mind keeps reflecting on all that he has built up so far, on the great reputation he has earned as a businessman with fabulous results, on the wonderful wife who is urging him to come immediately to her presence, on the possibility that a disaster may occur, not only with his financial balance but also on what he must talk to his wife, who surely, besides assuming the situation that will soon change the lives of both, must add this terrible loss he is experiencing in his professional life. As he drives quickly to meet his wife, the cell phone rings, and once again, a shock invades Robert's soul.

— What do you think you're doing, Robert? — asks a very serious voice on the telephone receiver. Robert knows he can't beat around the bush to answer him, to the man who has been his mentor for many years and who has entrusted him with the management of large sums of money.

— I tell you something John, although the circumstances are against the strategies I have proposed, I think we will get out of this mess well — Robert affirms with confidence, while he repeats to himself that it is true and he firmly believes what he is saying. A brief silence that seems like an eternity, almost makes him lose control of the vehicle when John's voice interrupts him dryly.

— If that is so, then why aren't you in your office?

— It's Fabiana — answers Robert, knowing that John will immediately understand why he has left his workplace so untimely.

— Well, it's up to you to face this moment with determination and strength, my friend. Please let me know when everything is resolved, even that horrible graphic. I trust you — Jhonn says goodbye without even giving Robert time to respond.

Con pasos apresurados, Robert se dirige al estacionamiento en busca de su flamante vehículo BMW recientemente adquirido. Al llegar al mismo y presionar el botón para liberar las puertas, su mente se centra en el mensaje de su esposa que recibió hace pocos minutos: «Ha llegado tu hora, Señor Robert, y de esta no podrás escaparte». Aun con el sentimiento de derrota por las perdidas que dejo acumulándose en el gráfico de su computadora, piensa como deberá afrontar este nuevo compromiso que se le avecina en tan solo unos pocos minutos. Su mente no deja de reflexionar en todo lo que ha construido hasta el momento, en la gran reputación que se ha ganado como hombre de negocios con resultados fabulosos, en la maravillosa esposa que lo increpa para que acuda de inmediato a su presencia, en la posibilidad de que pueda ocurrir un desastre, no solamente con su balance financiero, sino también con lo que debe hablar con su esposa, quien de seguro, además de asumir la situación que en breve cambiara las vidas para ambos, debe sumar esta terrible perdida que está viviendo en su vida profesional. Mientras conduce con rapidez al encuentro con su esposa, el celular repica y de nuevo, un sobresalto invade el alma de Robert.

— ¿Qué crees que estás haciendo, Robert? — pregunta una voz muy seria en el auricular del teléfono. Robert sabe que no puede andarse con rodeos para responderle, a quien ha sido su mentor durante muchos años y quien le ha confiado el manejo de cuantiosas sumas de dinero.

— Te digo algo John, aunque las circunstancias están en contra de las estrategias que he planteado, pienso que saldremos bien de este entuerto — afirma con seguridad Robert, mientras se repite así mismo que es verdad y cree firmemente lo que está diciendo. Un breve silencio que parece una eternidad, casi le hace perder el control del vehículo cuando la voz de Jhonn lo interrumpe secamente.

— Si eso es así, ¿por qué entonces no estás en tu oficina?

— Es Fabiana — contesta Robert, sabiendo que Jhon entenderá de inmediato el porqué ha salido tan intempestivamente de su lugar de trabajo.

— Vaya, te toca entonces afrontar con mucha decisión y fortaleza este momento amigo. Por favor, avísame cuando todo esté resuelto, incluso lo de ese gráfico tan horrible. Confió en ti — Se despide Jhon sin siquiera darle tiempo a Robert de responder.

Almost without realizing it and while talking to his mentor and friend, Robert has arrived where his wife is waiting for him. As he parks the car, he calls Daniela, his very efficient and attractive secretary:

— I guess you have seen how the situation is at this instant, Daniela, and besides I have to meet Fabiana for what you already know, so I will be clear with you: I only want to hear good news from your lips — he tells his secretary, with the assurance that she will clearly understand.

— Are you serious? And just at this moment? — answers Daniela, knowing exactly what Robert's last words mean - Don't worry, I'll just whisper to you that we've made it. And if there's nothing else to take care of, I'll look forward to your good news, You'll come out of this all right, honey — she answers with that melodious and charming voice that Robert praises her so much.

— Sure my queen, I can do it. I'll call you later — Robert says goodbye as he arrives at the emergency desk where his wife works. The nurse, who attends him, gives him a look that Robert can't help but feel like one compassion for. She listens to him a little seriously as he asks where his wife is. She, slightly averting her gaze to the papers on her desk, replies that he has arrived a little late and that Fabiana is waiting for him on the second floor of the building. Somewhat disgruntled and a little annoyed, he goes to where he has been told to go. As he waits for the elevator, he thinks about why this situation is so complicated at this precise moment in his life. What he would have wished for more than anything was to have arrived a few minutes earlier with his wife, so he immediately rushed to the stairs. As he hurries up the stairs, his feelings come flooding back and a strange sensation invades his body. He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry, he wants to scream, perhaps in anger or perhaps in joy, but he feels that everything has gone wrong for him in these last few minutes. He can't help but reflect on whether something from the professional world he left behind when he left his office. Will he be okay or will he even still be there when he leaves this building. It overwhelms him for a moment and almost forces him to stop and turn back. He thinks for a brief moment to himself, «You can do it, you will make it, you don't know how, but you will and everything will be fine».

Casi sin darse cuenta y mientras hablaba con su mentor y amigo, Robert ha llegado donde lo espera su esposa. Mientras estaciona el vehículo, llama a Daniela, su muy siempre eficiente y además atractiva secretaria:

— Supongo que has visto como está la situación en este instante, Daniela, y además debo encontrarme con Fabiana por lo que ya tú sabes, así que seré claro contigo: solo quiero oír buenas noticias de tus labios — le dice a su secretaria, con la seguridad de que ella entenderá claramente.

— ¿No me digas? ¿Y justo en este momento? — contesta Daniela, sabiendo exactamente lo que significan las últimas palabras de Robert. — No te preocupes, solo te susurraré que lo hemos logrado. Y si no hay nada más de que ocuparse, esperaré con ansias tus buenas noticias, Saldrás bien de todo esto, cariño — responde con esa voz melodiosa y encantadora que Robert tanto le elogia.

— Seguro mi reina, yo puedo. Te llamo luego — se despide Robert mientras está llegando al mostrador de emergencias donde trabaja su esposa. La enfermera, que lo atiende, le dirige una mirada que Robert no puede dejar de sentir como de compasión. Un poco seria lo escucha mientras él le pregunta donde está su esposa. Ella, desvía, levemente la mirada hacia los papeles en su mesa, le contesta que ha llegado algo atrasado y que Fabiana lo espera en el segundo piso del edificio. Algo contrariado y un poco molesto, se dirige a donde le han indicado. Mientras espera el ascensor, piensa en el porqué de esta situación tan complicada en este preciso momento de su vida. Lo que más hubiera deseado, era haber llegado unos minutos antes junto a su esposa, por lo que, de inmediato, se dirige rápidamente a las escaleras. Mientras sube apresuradamente los escalones, sus sentimientos se agolpan y una extraña sensación invade su cuerpo. No sabe si reír o llorar, quiere gritar, quizás con rabia o tal vez de alegría, pero siente que todo le ha salido mal en estos últimos minutos. No puede dejar de reflexionar en sí algo de su mundo profesional que dejo al salir de su oficina. Estará bien o siquiera seguirá estando allí cuando salga de este edificio. Esto lo abruma por un instante y casi que lo obliga a detenerse y regresar. Piensa por un breve momento para sí mismo: «Tú puedes, tú lo lograrás, no sabes como, pero lo harás y todo estará bien».

Arriving in the second-floor foyer, he immediately recognizes Teresa, his wife's best friend, who is staring at him very seriously. He makes a questioning gesture to find out about his wife. Teresa, still serious and without saying anything to him, points to a white door on his right. Robert, without much hesitation, goes to the door and enters hurriedly. Inside the room, his gaze falls on the beautiful green eyes of Fabiana, who looks at him with great gentleness. As she looks at him, she can't hold back her tears and only manages to say:

— You are here — and as he comes closer and embraces her, she shows him the beautiful baby she is holding in her arms — he is your daddy, my love and now we are a family.

Fused in a first tender embrace as a family, Robert knows only one thing: This moment is one of total happiness and he feels grateful for this great blessing. For a few brief moments he has forgotten all his vicissitudes and only enjoys the happiness he feels at having, now yes, a family for which he must work even harder. After several minutes of tears, joy, and sharing in an embrace, Robert takes the opportunity to listen to the audio that his secretary sent him a few moments ago. In the very short recording, you can hear the melodious voice of his secretary Daniela, who almost in a whisper tells him: «You made it honey, everything is going back to the moon». Now, yes, his great happiness is complete.

Al llegar al recibidor del segundo piso, reconoce de inmediato a Teresa, la mejor amiga de su esposa, quien muy sería lo mira fijamente. Él hace un gesto como de interrogación para saber de su esposa. Teresa, aún seria y sin decirle nada, le señala una puerta blanca a su derecha. Robert, si dudar mucho, se dirige a la puerta y entra de forma apresurada. Dentro de la habitación, su mirada se posa sobre los hermosos ojos verdes de Fabiana, quién lo mira con mucha dulzura. Ella, al mirarlo, no puede contener las lágrimas y solo atina a decir:

— Llegaste — y mientras él se acerca y la abraza, ella le muestra la hermosa bebe que sostiene en sus brazos — es tu papi, mi amor y ahora somos una familia.

Fundidos en un primer y tierno abrazo como familia, Robert solo sabe una cosa: Este momento es de total felicidad y se siente agradecido por esta gran bendición. Por unos breves instantes se ha olvidado de todas sus vicisitudes y solo disfruta de la felicidad que siente de tener, ahora si, una familia por la que debe trabajar con más encono. Tras varios minutos de lágrimas, alegría y de compartir abrazados, Robert aprovecha para escuchar el audio que le ha enviado su secretaria hace pocos instantes. En la muy corta grabación, se escucha la voz melodiosa de su secretaria Daniela, quien casi en un susurro le dice: «Lo lograste cariño, todo está remontando a la luna». Ahora si, su gran felicidad está completa.
