There was a flurry of activities and scrapping of chairs on the hard tiled floor as every ICT guru in the room arranged their sitting position to tackle the herculean task at hand, the task of saving the country from the imminent terror threat that was coming hard against it. When Calvin was in ICT School, he never thought he would work in such a renowned organization as this, one that is saddled with the task of protecting the country against cyber crimes and helping to intercept encrypted websites and messages carrying dangerous communications between enemies of the country. When he received an invitation as one of the best graduating students from his set to attend a selection interview at the headquarters of the organization, he thought it was just a daydream until when he found himself, one month later, sitting among other ICT workers, surfing the internet for data and information that spelt threat to the country.
Now, they were facing the worst cyber threat to the peace of their country since it independence and they had a very limited time to pulled this off, very limited time. The captain would have suggested an immediate evacuation of people resident within the areas suspected to take be potential targets of the hit but that will cause a serious panic and uproar against the ruling government and it will be a double tragedy so he had to take the risk of trusting his ICT team to find the right website and stop this madness just in time.
Earlier the previous day, the same ICT had pick up a message interaction between two parties using a particular strange website and on decrypting the message, it was found out to be a plan to detonate a each bomb in two of the country’s most developed and populated cities in the next 62 hours. Having known about this intended attack, the location for this hit was unknown, try as hard as they could the link that was supposed to lead them to website carrying the names of these cities was inaccessible. The link acted as a kind of sinkhole and prevented them from getting into the main website. Whenever they try to get in, there was a point that required a pass key and it was believed only the terror parties involved had access to these pass keys. It was now left to the ICT team to try and decipher these passkeys and breach this website so as to ascertain the exert location of this attack.
Calvin had been a master hacker from a very tender age, although it had served him for a lot of good reasons, it has also deprived him the chance of getting into any serious relationship with a lady. During his days at high school he had luckily got the attention of Rosie Green, one of the hottest girl on campus and after many a day of trials and snubbing, she agreed to try it out with him. When she denied it, he played some of the recorded calls she had with the guys and he also showed her their chats. Caught red handed, Rosie opted out of the relationship and was kind enough not to sue him for infringement on her privacy. Since then, ladies have avoided getting into any relationship with him with the saying that they don’t want some jealous guy snooping on them.
Well, here was a chance to pulled another hacking trick off, to add to the lists of a thousand he had done before, and for the sake of the country, Calvin prayed it works out.
