"O My God! Just look at this beautiful diamond! It has a beautiful luster."

"O Jimmy, please! I am used to hearing this twenty times a day. Just focus on your work.

"You know I love the way they shine, sparkle and are beautifully cut. The amazing thing about diamonds is that they are found in every color of the rainbow. So, I can't stop myself from appreciating their brilliance. One day, you will see! I would have my diamond shop. I would be the owner of these diamonds."

"O Jimmy stop this childish behaviour and do it carefully."

"Childish? You mean, am I a fool for dreaming?"

"Whatever! But this seems impossible, so stop daydreaming."

Jimmy and Vicky were friends and they were minor workers in a diamond shop. Jimmy was crazy for diamonds and he was used to appreciating the diamonds every day. Vicky was fed up with his craze for diamonds and hearing the same words every day. One day Jimmy was arranging the diamonds in a casket while one of the diamonds slipped and fell on the floor. There was some kind of noise in the shop, so Jimmy couldn't hear the voice of a diamond falling on the floor.

He arranged the casket and placed it in its place. In the evening, he went home. After taking a shower, he was having his dinner. Just then his phone rang and he was informed about his father's death. This news was shocking for Jimmy, so he went without informing at his workplace. His family was living out of the city and Jimmy was working in another city.

The next day, a huge turmoil arose in a diamond shop as everyone was searching for the missing diamond. The owner of the shop was in a great rage because it was a very expensive diamond. He involved the police and investigated everyone. Jimmy's absence becomes his fault. Everyone started to doubt that he would be the culprit.

Vicky informed Jimmy about this turmoil, so the next day Jimmy appeared there. He tried his best to make them believe in his innocence but all was in vain. They put him in jail. Jimmy was deeply in pain as he was accused of an act that he never committed. Vicky was also sad at what happened. He went to meet Jimmy in jail.

"Jimmy my friend! Sorry for that! I am ashamed, that I couldn't do anything for you."

"O Vicky! You don't need to be sorry but believe me I am not the convict. Although I always dreamed of having my diamonds, but I can't imagine to do this."
Tears roll down from his cheeks.

"I believe, I believe my friend. No matter what others say, I truly believe that you can't do that. I don't know why this happened to you, but don't be sad! Everything will be alright soon."

A month passed, but still, Jimmy was behind bars for the sin that he committed. He was unable to prove his innocence. One day, there was a monthly cleaning day in the diamond shop. Professional cleaners were there to clean the shop. Suddenly one of them saw a beautiful diamond under the stand. When the owner of the shop saw this beautiful diamond, he screamed with joy because it was the same diamond that was being lost. He was happy but ashamed too, because of putting Jimmy behind bars. But now Jimmy was proven innocent, so he was out of the bars. He was again offered to join the shop but he refused.

He started to find a job and luckily he found one. One day, Jimmy went to the grocery market, when he saw a crowd outside the bank. He got to know about the prize bond, and although he was not so hopeful, still he bought one. He threw it somewhere in the home. Two months passed but still, there was no news about the prize bond. Jimmy forgot about it and he got busy with his work.

One day, he was at his workplace, while one of his colleagues was checking the prize bond code in the newspaper. Jimmy said,

"Dear! It's not made for us. So don't waste your time and do your work."

"Yes, you said right! He replied and placed the newspaper in front of Jimmy. Jimmy was busy with his work, so he ignored it. Later, it was a tea break. Jimmy was enjoying the tea, while he started to read the same newspaper. Although he was reluctant, still he decided to look at the lucky numbers. Just then he noticed that it was a familiar number. But he was not sure, so he decided to check his prize bond. In the evening, he left for his home with the newspaper in his hand.

"Where is the prize bond?" He said to himself while searching for it. After a while, he found it in the side draw. He immediately checked the number and sprang up with happiness as it was matched with the number in the newspaper.

" Hurrah! I am sure I am not watching a dream." He shouted with prize bond in his hand.

In the morning, he went to receive the money. He was happy as it was a handsome amount. To get that money in his hand, he first fulfilled his dream of opening his diamond shop. He also bought some expensive diamonds and kept them in his shop. Finally, after a long trial, he achieved his dream.

The End!
