I still remember the pile of used plates after eating the sausage and sandwich at that time, along with the glass that had been gulped down with several hiccups and mom's joyful laughter. Everything happened in the afternoon on the second floor balcony of my house. Mom is a woman who is very open to other people, she often makes small parties to just pull everyone together to enjoy the day before night. and also stories that she always brings to enrich the atmosphere and keep us all away from boredom.
I still remember mom's story when she was still dating with dad, at that time she and dad were participating in a swimming activity in a public pool in order to fulfill an acrobatic swimming video assignment. Mom and dad joined in the same group along with 2 other friends. Mom told me that dad used to be a naughty and reckless teenager. He often makes noise and jokes with his friends which makes people around him uncomfortable.
Mom is one of dad's main targets in his game. While in the pool, mom who was warming up at the edge of the pool was suddenly startled by dad from behind, suddenly mom was shocked and lost her balance and finally fell into the water. The depth of the pool at that time was 2.5 meters, my mom was also not very good at swimming, she could only scream as much as she could for help in the water while trying to balance her body so as not to drown.
Feeling guilty and worried, dad immediately jumped to save mom but it was in vain. Mom had drowned and was unconscious, she was taken to the edge of the pool to revive her by doing CPR. When conscious, Mom was still limp and dad kept apologizing for the mistakes he had made and promised not to do such jokes again, but mom didn't mind that, she looked confused, her attitude was the same as someone who had just woken up from a night sleep. She suddenly told people around her that she had just had a fleeting dream, and it felt strange.
In her dream, she saw a young policewoman and a middle-aged male policeman staring at the giraffe enclosure, next to it was a bear and there also a deer enclosure. What made it strange was the appearance that mom wear who looked like a zookeeper while carrying a bucket filled with grass for herbivorous animals to feed on.
According to mom, that dream felt very real to the extent that she still remember the details of the incident in her dream, and slowly what was clearly depicted in the dream began to come true one by one. When mom and dad got married, dad started a career as a policeman and not long after that, mom got accepted to work as a zookeeper at a famous zoo in my city. I don't know if it was some kind of mom's vision for the future or just a coincidence that it happened similar to mom's dream, but I always hoped that it was a vision for the future because I planned to enlist as the policewoman so I can be a society hero like dad
And I hope dream that mom will never forget is a picture of me and dad in police uniforms at mom's work looking at us withG pride.
