Like all fairytales begin, this one is not at all different, in a world far far away there lived a girl in a small town called Afrag whose only dream was to taste the sweeter things of life. Growing up Jayln had loving parents who did everything they could to make her smile that on one of their trips to Guldra a rare opportunity as people do not get invited to the country often enough, they got her Guldra finest chocolate, a second best to their top most divus which means divine.

Guldra was a kingdom well known for its heavenly delicious sweets with the chocolate being the king of them all, rumor has it that if you even get to taste the cinnamon chocolate you would be happy for a very long time. This has been Jalyn’s dream to travel there with her family and in fact relocate completely and start a trade with the people of Afrag where everyone can buy and have a taste of the sweetest chocolate or better yet organize an annual feast where the both kingdoms would gather and celebrate while eating of the chocolate. That way the chocolate still holds its high level and divine status.

One starry night, Jalyn was outside taking in the beauty of nature while looking at the sky when a seagull flew by, she quickly closed her eyes and made a wish. Suddenly she felt very light and free with pumped up energy. For a very long time it has been a mythical belief that if one sees a seagull at night all their dreams will come true, this was not hard to believe as actual seagulls are diurnal creatures and seeing one at night is almost impossible except the myth was true.

Luck is by my side, Jalyn thought to herself, now I just need to go out and get it. The next morning Jalyn received an invitation letter to the kingdom of Guldra, she then told her parents of her plan to travel to Guldra and propose a trade, her parents bid her farewell and her mum said to her “may the blessing of the seagull be with you, may luck follow you and may happiness abide forever.” As she wanted to leave her dad called out “don’t forget your box sweetheart”. Jalyn replied “thank you dad, i almost forgot it.”

When Jalyn finally arrived in Guldra, it was just as magnificent as she imagined a chocolate thriving kingdom would be. She was shown around the palace and taken on tour throughout the kingdom, visiting the finest chocolate factory. She was supposed to meet with the royal family for dinner and she planned to discuss her idea of the trade then.

The evening came, and with that dinner. Jalyn in a beautiful sky blue evening gown that had little gold butterfly crested on it came in when the royal family was already seated and it was then she noticed the prince with skin so tan, having the perfect jawline and when he looked up at her, all the air whooshed out of her lungs, she was staring at the most striking green eyes, then he winked at her causing her legs to almost give out, thankfully she was already sitting.

When she proposed her idea of trade and unity with Afrag, the king jumped on it and just like that a contract was signed to begin the building of the biggest market. After dinner, Jalyn was heading to her room when she met the prince whose name she found out was Rowan, he told her how much he loved her idea and how he has always wanted to share the beauty and resources of his kingdom with others, he gave her a look like he was interested in other things besides her idea. They bid goodnight and went to their rooms.

Jalyn opened the balcony doors and popped a bottle of wine and made a toast to answered dreams, she said “Here’s to the new trade and the possible queen of Guldra.” she smiled as she drank to the thought.

Well a fairytale is incomplete without romance.

The End!
