Fast and Furious|The inkwell fast and furious festival day two

Hello hivers, Today I'm writing for the inkwell fast and furious festival day two. We are provided with four tasks to help develop our creative skill in giving a character a setting.

Task One
Describe a room (eg kitchen, bedroom, living room) in a character's house in such a way that it tells us about a person's greatest hopes and fears.

Dora sat at the large living room. The french windows gave very little light, chopped, as they were in fragments of small square panes adding to the inspiration of the house within. At the corner of the wall was an ancient clock ticking slowly with a well decorated glass covert on it; the clock looks old except for the covert that had been added to fit a taste. In the middle of the room stood a long table, at one end of it is an armchair and the other corner three sofas clothe with decorative materials of different colours, the ruddy brick floor smiled at the smoking ceiling and on the wall are paintings of an African woman breastfeeding a baby and of a lonely woman sitting in a dilapidated building. For some reasons the portraits are hanged opposite the decorated sofa to capture attention easily; The large living room looks tidy with no trace of toys except for the large big flat screen TV suspended on the wall right to the armchair.
At the left side of the TV is a bookshelf filled with books of different genre. Dora finds comfort all day sitting at the small square table beside the library where she calls a friend.

Task Two
Choose a painting by an artist - this can be a favourite of yours or a well-known artist from where you live. Now imagine a living room inspired by that painting, and show the room after a couple have had the worst fight of their relationship.

Melinda sat depressed beside the blue sofa, pictures sparsely scattered on the floor with broken glasses of frames. She probably has been depressed for days doing no chores except thinking about the fire of love that burnt within her when she first met whitley as she hold a picture of them. cobwebs filled opening of her small window that is face to the street as dirt and debris of different kind littered the floor. The living room now looks empty on the wall except with picture of her .
The small room was dark deprived of sunlight from the window tinted with two black curtains. Beside the wall close to the TV is a mirror she had constantly visited to check on her face that looks hurting. The TV remote rest carelessly on the table in-between the sofa and the big screen TV, the more she felt the hurt burning from within, the more she threw away every item she found beside her. The beauty of the living room with scattered and broken items was complacent to her with no trace of whitley belongings but a mirror that capture her inner feelings.

Task Three
Choose a famous moment from history and create a new fictitious element: write about the setting. For example, "A romance for Napoleon just three days before the battle of Waterloo."

The titanic

It was dark, at around 8:00pm ,the canadian ship leaving to Tokyo was already loading. The persistent chirping of the birds had began to fill the atmosphere from the woods beside the seashore. It was two days before it departure to a city Jack and Mary had envision for a future together. Mary sat on the canadian whitish sand at the shore enjoying the cool breeze wrapped in Jack's arm, she wore a bikini and seems to derive warmth tightly embraced in his muscular hands as they view the ripples that covered the face of the water. They both sat on the shore with their legs slightly dipped into the water. "Do you love me" Mary asked, raising her face superiorly to watch Jack's eyes.
" I do, and I would do anything for you"
She glance at the gigantic ship that was been loaded for the trip. "Maybe not everything" she Said.
"I can't tell but I know I love you enough, it's late, let's get into the tent".

Write notes for a story setting inspired by the image

It was Tuesday evening after a heavy rainfall, the street went scanty as everyone ran for hiding except for the few persons caught up by the rain before they could make their way home. The street became littered by the leaves blown off by the wind. The old building alone the way took on another look washed by the heavy rainfall. The only sound that was heard was of a tricycle man traversing his way along the road filled with log of water. The weather became cold. People smuggled their way into their houses closing doors and windows. The cloud appeared white having poured out it content. From a distance, a flock of bird could be seen flying their way west retiring for the day.
Water flood the empty street followed by a calm atmosphere with few people still doing their normal business.
