Ben, The Savior Of His Community

The king happened to be a great man who always wanted everyone to be by his side. In the town they lived in, his subjects are greedy and do not want the king to circulate the entitlement that comes to the community with the individuals. It's only a few of his subjects that are just like him. He has known them and the way they behave and so, one fateful day, king Nat has to call all his subjects and bring out the words of advice to them all. He advised all his subjects to change from their evil ways and also to change from having the heart of not giving what they have or what people ask of them. So, some of his subjects were able to change while some have the mind of wickedness and do not want to change for the better.

In the community, they have something that does protect them and also do protect evils from befalling the Community. So, this object can cost lots of money when sold to white men. Some of the king's subjects have been eying this object and want to take the object from the Community. They just want to sell this object to have the gain by themselves. Chief Maxwell is the second in command in the king's palace. Anytime the king wants to make a decision, he must consult him. He is the greedy type and the type who always wanted everything and every entitlement for himself.

One day, he spoke to chief Jerry to steal this object and sell it out to the white men. This was their plan and they indeed carried out this evil plan. They have priced the object to the white men and it is worth a tangible amount of money. They were very happy to receive the money but without giving the object to the white men. They have to come in the next four days to carry it. This was their arrangement and agreement and it indeed worked out.

Ben, is a son of the soil and a kind-hearted guy. He is poor as well as his family. They have been living a very poor life and Ben's family has been humiliated by some of the Community members, but he saw it as something that is common to every human being and so does not take it so seriously. He always told them that one day, he will lift his family from the state they are to a state of wealth. Ben has been the talk of the Town as the one from a poor home. At a time, he was walking with shame, but he later ignored them and was walking with boldness as the town was his.

On the second day after the payment, people started falling sick and the water in their stream started changing to red. The chief Priest came into the scene and told king Nat that the gods are angry because some people are having evil plans in the Community which the gods are yet to speak to him of. No one knows what was the cause of the sudden sickness and the sudden change of color of the stream.

It was the fourth day and Ben had to go to work on his parent's farm. On his way back, he saw some white men going in the direction of the object in their Community. The fact remains that no one is guiding the object as it is a powerful object. The white men had to devise means to carry the object which was with the help of the second in command in the community, chief Maxwell. They succeeded in carrying the object but Ben, after noticing the unusual movement of these people accompanied by their second in command, decided to follow them. Ben followed them quietly without making a noise. After getting to the place, he observed and noticed that they had come for the object. He was short of words.

Ben had to look for ways of stopping them from carrying the object, but they later carried the object from where it was kept with the help of the second in command, Chief Maxwell. He went to where they packed the vehicle that will convey the object out of the community and punctured all the tires. They were confused after getting to where the car was packed. There is no way they could leave without taking their vehicle and the object with them.

Ben later waited to see what they were going to do. Luckily for him, the object was dropped by one of the white men in the vehicle. The one who dropped the object refused to lock the door in his car. Ben had to sneak into the car and take the object from the vehicle and took off. He ran for his life without ceasing. The Community was some kilometres ahead and went to hide the object in a place that was safe since he cannot carry it home as it was just too heavy. He just developed some extra unknown powers to carry the object which even surprised him. He has never for his life developed such power.

When the white men could not see this object, they thought that chief Maxwell had come to steal it from them after collecting a huge amount of money. They concluded to go to the community to see those who sold the object for them. They entered the Community and asked for chief Maxwell. God was so kind, they met him in the palace. What a good way of revealing the cause behind the sickness and their water turning into red. They were made to enter the palace. When chief Maxwell saw them, he was shocked and was overtaken by fear as well as the second chief whom they both connived to sell the object, chief Jerry. They began to ask for either their money or the object from chief Maxwell. King Nat was surprised and asked chief Maxwell what they were talking about. He could not say a word because his secret has been revealed.

Without wasting time, Ben surfaced from nowhere and told the king that he saw chief Maxwell and chief Jerry as well as these white men carrying the object which has been saving our lives and the community at large. Ben explained how he punctured the vehicle they brought and had little opportunity of carrying the object from the car. I hid the object in a place where they cannot find it after carrying it from them. Ben told the king.

After hearing the whole story, the king decided to reward Ben and indeed he did what others cannot do and saved their Community from the strange disease and also from making their stream turn red. All those who were sick were indeed restored to normal and the stream was changed back to the normal pure form it was. Ben was rewarded greatly and was lifted from being poor to a very rich family in the community. Those who were calling him all sorts of names came back to praise him. He is their saviour as no one would have found the object ever again.

Chief Maxwell and chief Jerry were banished from the community as well as their families. So, Ben's father was installed as a chief who then took over from the second in command in the community.
