I posted about my automatic voting script a while ago. I have updated it to slightly improve the voting strategy. The commit. Instead of just voting any post, it runs each 30 minutes and gets the posts from the followed accounts and then gets the most recent post to avoid voting on old posts and missing the opportunity to vote on the recent ones.
This simpe voting bot has been working for a week now and I have at least got my account back to business, gaining some curation rewards. However, optimizing for efficiency, avoiding the penalty window and voting before whales is hard. Maximizing the curation rewards is not as easy as just setting up a mechanic voting strategy.
My curation rewards during the last 7 days has been 0.47HP according to Hivestats.io, 0.06% with a power of 783HP. Let's see how things improve with this update in the next week. This is a very low percentage and even not worth it given the high rates you can find on DeFi or native crypto staking these days.
I'd like to have the time to improve this passive income strategy by making this automatic voter smarter. Next I want to do some analytics on voting lifetime of posts to check out when is the best time to vote on certain posts. Of course you can't know the future but maybe there are patterns that we can take advantage of. In some posts I have achieved 4x rewards compared to the usual numbers I get so if we can get that 4x all the time or even more this could be worth some major investment in powering up.
