Greetings to everyone in the Weekend Experiences community, today is mother's day in my country and I know that in many other countries they celebrate this day, so I hope you are having a great time with your mothers, those who still have them treat her well and show him your love whenever you can. I'm here to respond to one of the topics suggested by galenkp@galenkp, which deals with what we would do if after making the purchases we realize that we were not charged for a product. As a mother that I am and who has always been in charge of the purchases, many similar situations have arisen and that is why it seemed like a good idea to share my experience.

Honesty or not

You have returned home from a shopping day with shopping bags of clothing you bought. That's when you realize one of the items is not on the receipt and that you've not paid for it. Do you go back and pay for it or do you let it slide? Explain yourself in at least 300 words and use images you have taken personally if you can.

Me doing grocery shopping

Almost always the opposite happens, they have charged me something on the invoice but the product does not appear in my bags, that is why I am always careful to put the products in the bags, before it was more difficult because there were employees to bag the products when the supermarket cashier was passing it through the register machine, now it is easier to have control because as a customer you bag your things yourself, but there is also difficulty because with the advent of scanning the product with a machine that has a light, it is the registration process of the products is faster and that is why it is sometimes common for them to charge the same product twice, however when I am alone it is very difficult to see the small letters on the paper that they give me on the receipt, this is thin paper and it comes taken from those reel-type printers, those letters for my age are not difficult to see so sometimes I have come home and they have charged me for a product twice, when I realize it I get sad but in general I do not return to the establishments out of empathy .

The empathy is with the girl who works at the cash register, I am speaking in the case of supermarkets, when this happens in another establishment where the owner attends, then Yes, I go back to complain, but when it is a large store where the girl at the cashier normally she only collects her salary, I don't return, that's the same thing I do in the opposite case, because if I return to say that the girl put something in my bag that she did not charge me, it is almost certain that the girl will be fired from her job.

My grandson goes with me grocery shopping

It has also happened to me that when charging me, I realize that the amount they are charging is less than what I should pay, so in a low voice I tell the cashier that if she is sure if that is the correct amount, after verifying she realizes She realizes that she has not included a product or the real amount is higher, I tell her in a low voice so that she is not in danger of losing her job if the owner listens to the situation, also I do not know in which other country this will happen, but in my country at the end of the day when a business closes its doors, they check the cash register and if money is missing, this money must be paid by the employees who work at the cash register, so it does not seem fair to me that due to a mistake by a cashier or that even for some malicious ATM that has stolen, all employees must pay that money. So before I leave with money or a product that is not mine, if I realize it instantly I return it or tell the girl in a low voice. But if I get home and I have an extra product, I don't go back and not because I benefit from the free product, but because I know that if I am going to return it, the employee who charged me will be fired, so I consider myself a very honest, but honesty also does not have to take away our empathy, of course this cannot be applied to expensive things, it is just an example if it happens with a low-cost item, because I cannot imagine staying with something for which I didn't pay for but also getting someone fired who just made a small mistake.
