Daemons fest

Last Saturday was Saint Johns a celebrated fest in all Catalan-speaking areas in Spain. It is also our local town fest so there are a bunch of events around all weekend up until tonight when a big fireworks take place to end the fest.

On Saturday we decided to have dinner with some friends at a terrace in a local restaurant and ended up eating Saint John's "coca", a traditional pie consumed during the fest, it had cream and apricot on it and was delicious.

After dinner we joined the Daemon's "parade", it is a local tradition where a guild of young guys with daemon costumes chase the rest of the public with fireworks. It is quite scary if you get too close to "fight" the daemons and you have to wear cotton cloths covering your body, the humidity, heat, noise, and fire makes it quite hard to move around.

We ended the night at a local concert.
