Going on a date is really fun especially if you're doing it with the one you love. I usually don't go out often because I love my space but one of the amazing date I've had in a while is the one I had with my bestie on his birthday. He asked if I could go on a date with him to a restaurant inside the town. At first I told him to make it an indoor date at his apartment but after much consideration I agreed to go on a date with him.
It was a lunch date though we had planned to go for this date in the evening that is some sort of dinner date but it didn't work out as planned because I had no new dinner gown to put on for the date so I had to make sure I make it a lunch date so as to dress on a casual wear😃
So on his special day being his birthday, I couldn't wait till afternoon to go on a date with my bestie. As early as 7am I checked my wardrobe to get the clothes I'd put on for the date🤭 That was how anxious I was!!
Finally I chose my danshiki wear, an African wear actually with a jean trouser that suits. We boarded a taxi that took us to Mr Biggs Restaurant.
We ordered spicy chicken and ice cream.
A good combination right! It tasted so yummy!
We enjoyed our chicken and ice cream with some good background blues music. Infact this particular music that was on repeat "From this moment" by Celine Dion made us stay longer than we planned even after we finished eating because it gave the atmosphere a romantic feeling.
I was not nervous at all from the start of the date invitation because he's my bestie. I've known him for more than 5 years now so basically we do things together without being nervous or shy about it.
But just the moment he asked if we could become more than best friends, like me being the love of his life I became a bit shy. Didn't actually give him a reply there but gave him a "YES" reply through a phone text after a few weeks🤭
Still and the restaurant, we had so much to talk about like how we met, and how far we've gone, all the things we've achieved together, the wrongs we've done and ways to correct and so many other amazing things.
And after we were done with the discussion, we left to his house. I spent some time with him dancing, we couldn't even dance at the restaurant because we didn't want to dance in the public together. We saw a movie together while sipping the drink we bought on our way back and before I knew it my time was already far spent. 9:00pm? Gush!
I slept over and left the following day🤭
It was an amazing date I must confess and I've not had such date in a while.
