You know the Philippines, we celebrate the festival once a year. It's being supported by local government offices or the municipality. It costs much but it's like an investment to let people come and see for themselves. That's why every town's municipalities give their best to make sure the people will enjoy themselves when they visit. You will expect beautification, like decorations and events. Of course, decorations will be placed in the park where people often visit and also it is the center of the town where people love to stay.

Anyway…..

In the province of Southern Leyte Philippines, there is only one city. Yes, you read it right, it's the Maasin city. Of all the towns in Southern Leyte Provinces, Maasin spent a bigger amount on this kind of celebration. Maybe the pride of being a city that has the biggest income. They didn't hesitate to make the town pompous.

When you arrive at the park you can immediately see the decorations. They built a traditional Filipino house in the street. It's like an entrance where you can do sightseeing first before exploring more beauties inside. That house was made elegantly of pieces of bamboo.

Not only that, there are handicrafts that can be found inside and outside of it.

Also, colorful decorations were installed on both sides.

When you pass this house there are small mini houses next to it. Well, you will be tamed to keep walking because of the decorations above and with those colorful banderitas or maybe you rather called it pennants. It's like you will be drawn to its beauty and just keep walking while looking around.

Just see those handicrafts hats above, don't they look new to your eyes?

There are those mini houses or maybe you can compare them to a typical Filipino house or also known as Bahay Kubo. It's so small but cute because of the decorations too. By the way, those mini houses are like boutiques in malls or vendors on the street. They offer different products, foods, flowers, handicrafts, and many more. Most products being sold here can only be found in remote places or not a remote one but particularly where it's hard to find. It's like products in the neighborhood that can not be found in towns.

I will just give you examples of those products to make things clearer. Filipino traditional foods, like sweet rice, in different types of cooking. Also, it's being wrapped with banana leaves to give such a delicious aroma. I told you there are so many products being sold here that you can't always find them and buy them.

Coconut vinegar is hard to find these days. It's not gone but can only be found in the places near the mountains. There is sea urchin flesh being placed in a bottle. You don't need to cut it in half and clean it for you to be able to eat it. It looks dirty if you are not used to it but it's not.

There are botanical stores as well. I'm sure flower lovers will love to be at this place. A lot of flowers you can find here of course. Not just one store but a couple one so you can find different types of flowers.

I saw a store there selling rabbits, fish, and other animals. Sorry, I forgot to memorize them. Of course, it's being sold there. I told you that in this part right here you can find or buy the things you barely see every day in towns.

If you bring your children, they will be happy for sure. There is cotton candy, not just one color but different ones. Also, we all know most children love balloons. You can also find them here with a couple of designs as well.

Well, if you're tired there's a park free to stay and just kill time while resting. I'm sure you will not be bored because of the colorful decorations. Right in the middle of the park, there is this kind of decoration. I'm out of words already so enjoy these images for now as what I did when I was seated at the park alone.
