[WE112] My perception of how People see me

I strongly believe that people have the right to decide on how they choose to see things, and their thoughts about me are no different. People see me from different perspectives. Some of these views are truths while some are just misconceptions.

I am a work in progress, and I know I have some flaws (quite a lot actually) that people do not really appreciate about me. But despite my flaws, I know there are still certain features that people enjoy about my person. In this post, I’ll be talking about some of these things.

I am Boring

The consensus amongst most of my friends and many other people who know me is that I can be quite boring at times, and this is due to the fact that I do not have the same interests as most people my age.

I spend most of my free time talking or thinking about politics, history, and culture – topics most Gen-Zs don’t really consider to be “fun”.

And let’s face it, nobody really likes boring people (except you’re in love with them). I’ve had to develop an interest in some of the “fun” things over the last couple of years so that I could try to relate better with people better since I noticed that being boring was actually affecting my ability to interact with most present-day humans.

I am too logical

I’ve had quite a number of people point this out about me. People say I am too logical. Some like it, while others don’t.

More often than not, I tend to "over-analyze" things and sometimes my opinions about some issues tend to differ from popular opinion. If I were a public figure, I know I’d probably be loathed for some of my opinions (which are sometimes correct and controversial).

By extension, some people also think I am a bit cold. I feel some people see me as cold because I rarely let emotions get in the way of my day-to-day activities. I am not the most emotional person in the world, but I am not cold (well, not too cold).

Too Blunt

I feel quite a number of folks think me to be blunt (or too blunt). And depending on who you ask, that can either be a good or a bad trait.

As for me, I see it as neither of the two options. While I tend to say things the way I think they are, I am not one without a filter.
I like to tell people what I believe to be the truth even when I know the opinion might be a bit unpopular with them, but I don't just say things off the top of my head.

The fact that I am blunt at times also means that on some days when the Sun shines, I am an honest person, and the experience I've garnered from living on earth for the past couple of years has thought me that honesty is a trait that a lot of people like to think they want in a person, but if we're being really honest, they don't really want that.

So I wouldn’t really say that my “honesty” is something that people like or hate about me, I just think it’s a trait that people will react to depending on the kind of truth I tell them.

All in all, these are just my thoughts about other people's thoughts, so I might be wrong or not.

If you’re a close friend or you know me from afar, I’d like to know what you think of this post.
What do you think of me as a friend, lover🌚 or acquaintance?
Be as honest as you can. I won’t bite.

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking your time to read this post.
