Spring is undoubtedly my favorite season: it is hot but at the right point, you can be outside without being attacked by mosquitoes and the day has enough light to take long walks before nightfall. I really enjoy being outdoors, this always recharges me with energy and allows me to take a break from the daily routine. That is why today we are organizing a picnic with my sister and my cousin on the banks of the city's lakes ❤️.
La primavera es sin dudas mi estación preferida: hace calor pero en su punto justo, se puede estar afuera sin ser atacado por los mosquitos y el día tiene suficiente luz como para dar largos paseos antes de que caiga la noche. Disfruto mucho de estar al aire libre, esto siempre me recarga de energía y me permite dar un respiro de la rutina diaria. Es por eso que hoy organizamos con mi hermana y mi prima un picnic a orillas de los lagos de la ciudad ❤️.
After the intense days we had with my mother , it was only today that we were able to rest easy knowing that everything was in order. We took advantage of the beautiful spring day that there was today to go for a walk. This place called Bosques de Palermo is an hour and a half from my house. This is quite a travel time but we leave early to arrive before noon.
Luego de los días intensos que tuvimos con mi mamá, recién hoy pudimos descansar tranquila sabiendo que todo estaba en orden. Aprovechamos el hermoso día primaveral que hubo hoy para ir a pasear un poco. Este lugar llamado Bosques de Palermo queda a una hora y media de mi casa. Esto es bastante tiempo de viaje pero salimos temprano para llegar antes del mediodía.
With the lifting of some restrictions, many people are now going out to enjoy the great outdoors. This place was always frequented by people from all over: it is very famous because there you can ride bikes, rollers, carts and any other type of vehicle with wheels.
Con el levantamiento de algunas restricciones, mucha gente sale ahora a disfrutar del aire libre. Este lugar siempre fue concurrido por gente de todos lados: es muy famoso porque allí se puede pasear en bicis, rollers, carritos y en cualquier otro tipo de vehículo con ruedas.
The most attractive thing about this place are its boat rides: we tried to get on one but there were too many people in line and we gave up. The half hour ride costs ARS 950 in a 6 person boat (approx USD 5). It didn't seem expensive to me, but this time it couldn't be.
Lo más atractivo de este lugar son sus paseos en botes: intentamos subir a uno pero habia demasiada gente en la fila y desistimos. La media hora de paseo cuesta 950 ARS en un bote de 6 personas (aprox 5 USD). No me parecía costoso, pero esta vez no pudo ser.
We spent the whole afternoon eating crumb sandwiches and drinking mates. Despite the hot weather, this hot drink is never lacking in meetings and even though we add sugar to it, the salty accompaniment suits it very well ❤️.
Pasamos toda la tarde comiendo sanguches de miga y tomando mates. A pesar de que hace calor, esta bebida caliente nunca falta en las reuniones y a pesar de que le ponemos azúcar, el acompañamiento salado le sienta muy bien ❤️.
I really enjoyed this walk: the day was excellent and we laughed a lot with my sister and my cousin, remembering old and not so old anecdotes. I really like going to the city center and feeling like a tourist in it: perhaps that is one of the things I like about living in a remote area. The bad thing was the return, a little long since I was tired but I could sleep a little on the train, so I already recharged a little energy 😄.
Disfruté mucho este paseo: el dia estuvo excelente y nos reímos mucho con mi hermana y mi prima, recordando anécdotas viejas y no tan viejas. Me gusta mucho ir al centro de la ciudad y sentirme turista en ella: quizás esa sea una de las cosas que me gusta de vivir en una algo zona alejada. Lo malo fue el regreso, un poco largo ya que estaba cansada pero pudr dormir un poco en el tren, así que ya recargué un poco de energía 😄.
