What punctuality is

Hello everyone, and welcome to Weekend Experience, Week 216. I am @johndoy0. It is awesome having you on my blog once again. Your presence has always been a source of encouragement to me.

Alright, in this week's Weekend Experience, I am going to share my views on a topic that affects us all. Though I will be using "myself," it is something that impacts everyone.

I can remember the joy on my face whenever I arrive first at my workplace. Without wasting much time, let's get on with the business of the day.

What is Punctuality?

Anytime I come across the word "punctuality," the first thing that comes to mind is time. As a high school teacher, at the end of every term, we compile students' results. There is a section known as "behavioral assessment," which includes a column labeled "PUNCTUALITY." Teachers observe when each child arrives at school from the beginning of the term to the end, determining whether the child is punctual or not.

Punctuality is the quality or habit of always being on time or adhering to a scheduled time. It also involves completing tasks/arriving at appointments at the agreed time. Punctuality is often seen as a sign of reliability and respect for others'.

To be honest, I am not naturally punctual, though I am trying my best to improve. People don't like it when others are late to an agreed appointment. There is a common saying, "time is money." Being late to an appointment is not something to brag about.

I could see the disappointment on people's faces whenever I was late, to the point where they just had to accept it. But that isn’t a good character trait, so I decided to make adjustments. This decision wasn’t driven by fear of reprimand but by understanding that punctuality affects my overall performance and can significantly impact my progress toward greater heights.

On a quick note, always try to be on time for every agreed appointment because you never know which one might lead to a significant opportunity.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you @galenkp for this awesome topic. See you again next weekend.
