Good day everyone 😘💕

It is my first time joining this community and also participating in this week challenge. So the question for this week, the question is really amazing and interesting that is why I decided to join and also partake in it.

What would you rather be doing instead of what you're actually doing this weekend and why?

I think a lot of people like to relax and recharge on the weekends, perhaps by doing something they enjoy or spending time with friends or family. Instead of spending time with my family and friends on weekends, I decided to practice and learn something new while drawing. I prefer to spend my time doing something creative and also like to get outdoors and explore.

Normally every weekends I spend time with my family because that is the one only day we have the time to spend with each other. Weekdays everyone goes to work or school, but this weekend I decided to create time for myself and also improve in my drawing. I'm doing this because I really careless of me, I haven't been having time to create and explore and I think this weekend should be used wisely.

Today, I am still learning new things about drawing portraits. But, thanks to constant practice, I am able to create portraits that look like the person I am drawing even the alien I'm drawing looks much alike it, or what do you think??

Today, I am still learning new things about drawing portraits. But, thanks to constant practice, I am able to create portraits that look like the person I am drawing.

For me, making portraits is a meditative and challenging act. To place each tone, to observe the details, to place the lights, the shadows, to achieve volume where it is necessary. To achieve a realism that is sometimes not so realistic. To make the look express an emotion. These are aspects of drawing that catch me.

Drawing is challenging, it requires attention, patience and willingness and concentration. When people are with me I can easily get distracted and loose focus that is why I decided to spend time alone drawing with disturbance and also learn new things. At that moment, I realized that I had a skill that I could develop with practice and dedication.

It is satisfying to see how practice pays off. It applies to everything you set out to learn in this life.

Constant practice is the key to learning how to draw well. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned artist, there is always something new to learn
