Looking at this week's topic from @galenkp took me back to three years ago to one of the best holidays I ever had, going through the pictures now just brought out smiles and laughter about how it all went.
We had just graduated from high school a few years back and each one of us got admitted to a different college, the bond was still there and the thought of having to convey at a place and see each other again was top in our priorities but then we couldn't all because we were in different college and we operate under different school calendar so we all have different time for holidays.
But then one holiday was common to us all that was the Christmas holiday thought of having to see each other again for Christmas was the only one that can bring all of us back together
So we decided to make plans ahead and when it was the Christmas holiday that year we all were back home to celebrate with individual families.
The thought of where to hang out was an issue at first, we wanted a place with a nice view, filled with fun just to have memories and after so much consideration we concluded to visit the beach.
The beach is a bit far from our residence so the only option that was in our favor was to go together in mass and so we decided to contribute money together hire a minibus just to convey us.
Lagos traffic hindered getting to the beach early but that did not bother us because having to see each other after so many years of being apart was a whole lot to talk about and so we were not bothered about the traffic
The beach was a bit crowded when we got there but we were still able to secure a small space to drop bags.
The sun was a bit of high intensity that day and the water at the beach just seem like an antidote to cool off.
we all jumped inside the salty water with happiness and laughter enjoying the cool feeling the water was ready to offer.
It was a refreshing feeling
We had fun swimming, playing games, gisting and riding the swing ride.
it was one sweet memory.
We couldn't stay very long as we wanted to beat the traffic going home so we left before night fell.
One important thing we did was have enough fun and made good use of that one holiday that is common to us all that we only get to have once a year.
it was one of the best holidays I ever had as I got to see old friends, had fun together, and share memories.
Holidays like that are very rare it always once a year and sometimes not everyone comes back home to celebrate it.
but this one happen to be one of the best I ever had as we all were home and present.
