THE MAGIC OF BEING HER!!!

When I saw this weekend’s topics, the first one did me in—WEEKEND TRADE. Without thinking, I would swap places with my best friend this weekend.

Adedoyin is one of my best girls, one who balances her social life, spiritual life, and career with so much grace and excellence.
Now, this is not why I’d like to trade, but because she has back-to-back functions. Either someone she knows is getting married, or there’s a birthday party somewhere, and guess what? She always turns up!

In Nigeria, "Owambe" is a ginger!!! When you get the chance to attend, you either go hard or go home.

Therefore, the key things for me are:

I've got to show up for my people, no matter how inconvenient it might seem.

For me, I have so much to do during the week, that just staying in during the weekend is bliss. So, I’d rather sit in bed and just lounge, read, or sleep than dress up and turn up.

This is why I admire this particular trait about Adedoyin. She goes the extra mile, even when she has deadlines breathing down her neck. She is the definition of "hypeman per excellence," willing to travel interstate to share your special day with you. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.

Another thing for me is the balance. Despite showing up for her people, she remains diligent, meeting deadlines as if she has cracked the code to doing so effortlessly. Then, guess who shows up early to church for workers' meetings, like she didn't just spend the previous day screaming, dancing, and celebrating someone?
Honestly, it's beautiful to watch, and I really want to be that person, or at least try to be half of that.

However, I'm looking forward to the day when it rubs off on me because she's not in my circle for nothing, and that magic she has is essential.
