Hello friends and readers of hive. I've been pretty busy lately. I'm glad to be writing again since it's a been a few days. Today I will give you my weekend experiences.
It will include Saturday, and Sunday. There's not much to mention for Friday I just worked both of my jobs. I didn't drive a lot this week just three days.

Saturday
I started off the day with some delivery driving. I paused my driving for awhile because I had to stop at Bass Pro Shops to get a new fishing license. I buy my fishing licenses every three years. It's cheeper and saves time that way.
Bass Pro Shops is a huge sportsman shop for both fishing and hunting. I decided to gock over some fishing stuff and walk around to take some photos. There is a small aquarium display that show cases the fish available in my area. It was difficult to get shots as there was a lot of reflections. There is also a tiny stream that holds trout. I love going here because it holds some of nature's things enclosed indoors. Here's some more pictures I took.
After I left I went back to the streets to do some more delivery driving. I did this for about an hour. I only had two deliveries in this time period. I had a long wait time at one of the merchants on one of those deliveries. It was a little frustrating so I logged out and decided I need to eat something. I totally forgot to document with some pictures. I guess my stomach over ruled there 馃槀 I just had some chicken wings with some onion rings.
I ended up delivery driving one more time. This time I put in about 3 1/2 hours. Once I was done I came home to get some of my fishing gear ready because I went fishing on Sunday.
Sunday
Sunday morning was windy and cold. I left my place after loading my car with two poles, a small tackle box, and a cooler. I decided to go to a small pond which was about 30 minutes outside of town.
The target fish for today was crappies. I like to use small size tackle for this. I was planning to use both a white and black Lindy Little Nipper 1/64 oz weight jig. Since it was gloomy and the water clarity wasn't the best I only used the white jig. I tip my jigs often with Berkeley power bait.
The reels I used today are not of the newest technology but are tough easy reels to use. The Johnson Century model 100B was made in the 1960s. The other model I brought was introduced in the 70's I believe. I bought these and few other Johnson reels about 15 years ago on eBay for $20 a piece. Why use the older reels? Because they are quality made and so easy to maintain. Your not going to find a better quality today unless you pay over $100 per reel.
I actually tried fishing twice today. I went for a morning session (8:00 to 10:00) and got more cold than anything. Part of the pond still had ice on it. The part I wanted to fish in particular had a skin layer of ice on it. It was an area that had some bush piles. I was the only one fishing during this time and took a few breaks in the car to warm up.
I than broke to get something to eat and ended up visiting with a friend. I returned to the pond again at about 1:30. I didn't fish long as my son called me needing a ride. I may have got 30 minutes in. The weather was a lot warmer and the sun was out, looked promising. Where are all the caught fish pictures? Well I got skunked I didn't catch any. There is a saying it's called fishing for a reason. If everybody caught fish everytime they went out it would probably be called catching instead fishing 馃槀 I went home for the rest of the day. Mostly I did some home chores but did get some time to relax.
