When kids rule the weekend! Oh No!

I sometimes have only 2 choices on the weekend: ( Sleep and eat or Eat and sleep. Haha! Agghh How I wish! ) that's 1. stay at home, play with our 2-year-old daughter, and let her mess up the whole house, or 2. bring her outdoors and do fun and exciting activities. Well, sounds easy because whatever our weekend activity is, I am the lead, I am the boss, I am in control. But things are slowly changing, our baby has grown into this small human being who now knows what to demand! She has discovered the art of begging with matching teary eyes! And whenever I wanted to relax, she always has another plan! Our dear has grown so quickly!

Win-win!

Her eyes were sparkling with joy when we gave in to her demand. Who could resist that puppy eyes expression of a child asking her parents to go swim on the beach?

So earlier today, I invited my siblings to go to the beach for our kids to enjoy and have some playful time together with the cousins. After all, this is a cool way of spending the last day of the weekend, with kids enjoying the beach while, we, parents could sit and relax on the shore while watching the kids.πŸ˜‰

"WELCOME KIDS!", said the beach.

The Bosses on the Beach!

As soon as we parked our vehicle, the kids excitedly lead the way going to the beach. Each of them carried the food and things that we need. As you could see (1st photo), Majimbo was carrying the bag of charcoal and his cute Power Ranger bag, Shinee was bringing the papaya fruit, Bj was carrying the food meanwhile my daughter was bringing none. Yeah. she's the boss. That's how elated they were to finally go to the beach!

We brought them to one of the Public beaches of San Remegio. Our family loves this beach so much because aside from that the beach has a long stretch of fine white sand (a good place for the kids to run.) but also this beach has a wide, clean, and clear child-friendly shoreline. This made us comfortable and felt at ease with the place.

Some beautiful views of the beach to fill your eyes.

The place is perfect for the kids to enjoy and have unlimited fun!

As soon as we spotted a shaded and cool area for us to stay and settled our things, we let the kids play and swim all they want. While we adults prepared the food for our early lunch. I and my brother volunteered to clean the fish while our youngest brother Kyle together with his friends (which we also brought with us) were assigned to grill the fish.

Low cost for these small people.

One of the advantages of bringing the kids outdoors on weekends specifically going to the beach is the less expenses we need to spend. We do not need to buy plenty of delicious food. Of course, they want delicious food however the kids enjoyed swimming more than eating. Hehe. For this beach out we only bought 1 kilo of Fish and grilled them, 2 packs of corn chips snacks, and a half kilo of Grapes.

So while the kids were having their best time on the beach the young boys were busy grilling the fish and we adults were able to relax and talk about the happenings of our weekdays in the school while watching the kids swimming and playing.

The food is almost ready!

When the food was almost ready we joined the kids on the beach and played with them too! We heard nothing but only our laughter, cheers, and the splashing of the water!

Oops, Milk break first.

And back to swimming again.

Some weekend realizations.

-Ever since I become a mother, I wish for days that I could relax, unwind and have some "ME" time after a long tiring week. I miss the days when I could do things I want (freely) way back then. Impossible for now but I found it amazing, how I was able to adjust and feel even happier, lighter, and come back even stronger (for the new week ahead) every time I spend my weekend with my little daughter and my small family. I felt an unexplainable sense of fulfillment in the simple joys and simple things we spent together.

A reminder.

-Do things your kids want on the weekend whether it's a play, a day at the park, role-playing in the house, a beach out and so many fun and exciting things because soon these things will become sweet memories that you could watch together on the camera- things that are part of their growth and can boost bond and happiness of the family.
