The weekend was exciting as I watch my friend go emotional. The reason being that he was once jilted by a lady he loved so many years back just because he wasn't financially buoyant as at then.
He was a bit nervous about how things will turn out again, I saw him fretting.
It was Sunday evening and the house was all set up for the proposal, he called the love of his life over for a dinner date and we all waited patiently for her arrival.
She was looking so beautiful and elegant as she stepped into the room, she was surprised to see so many people and see how beautifully the room was decorated.
We allowed them to have the moment, and the next thing was my friend on his knee, proposing to the love of his life, the room was so calm as we awaited a positive reply, and lo and behold, she accepted to be his wife!!
He couldn't help but shed a tear
She got up to wipe off the tears, it was such a beautiful sight as I realized that love is a very powerful force.
Love makes you do so many things you wouldn't do on an ordinary day.
I saw how bonded they both were and wow, I pray we all get to be loved the way we deserve with whom our hearts beat and with who we want to spend the rest of our lives.
He got the best after all, though he was hurt by his ex, it didn't stop him from falling in love and giving love another chance.
If you haven't found the one yet, don't give up, there's a man for every woman and a woman for every man, sooner than you think, you'd find your "one".
I honestly wish both of them the best as I look forward to the big day.
