The Final Drivening and eSprinter Payload Test

The Mercedes Benz eSprinter has come in very useful, not just for us to film a review etc, but as a worthy work horse, it's payload is around 750kg which is lower than the eVito, mind you that makes sense as there's more van to carry.

We wanted to test the Electric Sprinter and its ability to carry a payload and how it would affect range, performance and handling.

The timing couldn't have been better, we needed 3-4-500kg of stone etc to finish the Widening, therefore we filmed the whole experience (expect to see it sometime next week).

We headed to Homebase and loaded up with 9 19.5kg bags of Cotswold stone, 4 bags of 22.5kg sand, 1 plum slate bag 22.5kg and a Steel garden Roller 16kg.

We headed back had a restful night, it's still very strange heading out in C19 lockdown, tiring, etc.

The next morning we got up and started to complete the drive, removing bamboo, privet etc (everything was replanted) then it was time move the rocks, trim back the hedge, rake up and level the ground ready for a car to safely drive down up and down it.

We then laid the membrane, and cut it to shape, we bought 200m of membrane many years ago when we had 16T of gravel delivered.

This was the finished job, complete with a few privets, chimney pot, a pot of Daffodils and all the stone and slate. It may need a few more bags at some point, also a top up of grey gravel.
