New Bentley Bentayga Hybrid PHEV 2021 SUV

The first plug in Bentayga Hybrid from Bentley has arrived.

It comes with a 3L twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine, that delivers 700 Newton meters of torque and 443 BHP.

The 17.3 kWh lithium battery consist of 168 individual cells with an expected life of 100,000 miles or eight years.

The combined range is 536 miles, and it's capable of driving on pure electric for up to 36 miles.

The Bentayga has three driving modes:

  1. EV Drive Mode - this is engaged as soon as the car is switched on, and maximises the electric driving experience, making it perfect for city driving. In pure electric drive, the E Motor continues to function up to speeds of up to 84mph.

  2. Hybrid Mode - this maximises vehicle efficiency and range using data from the intelligent navigation system. It uses predictive E-Mode (and engine coasting) making it perfect for longer journeys.

  3. Hold Mode - this balances engine and electric power to hold high voltage battery charge for later use. As it provides consistent boost and recuperation, it is the default mode when in Sport.

These three driving modes are accessed via a dedicated button, enabling the driver to manually manage battery usage during a journey. This can also be managed automatically by the car as well.

It can be charged to 100% in as little as two and a half hours (regional variations apply)
