"I Must(ang) Have It..."
Desde muy temprana edad siempre me gustaron los autos Mustang, siempre me llamó la atención los primero diseños porque los encontraba elegantes y a la vez deportivos, recuerdo siempre decirle a mi padre que ese estilo de carro era mi favorito, en diferentes ocasiones veía ese estilo de auto en series de tv y películas y me parecía impresionante, pero cuando estaba fuera de mi hogar y veía Mustang transitar en la calle, nunca se veían como las películas, muy pocos estaban completamente cuidados y sin sus partes originales, los que veia eran todo lo contrario, estaban dañados, algo oxidados, sin pulir y recuerdo preguntarle a mi papá "¿Por qué no los cuidan?" Mi padre se reía y me preguntaba que si yo quisiera cuidarlos y mi respuesta era simple "Algún día tendré uno, no importa si está dañado porque lo voy a mejorar", creo que desde ese momento el poder tener un Mustang se ha vuelto mi sueño, el carro de mis sueños.
From a very early age I always liked Mustang cars, I always liked the first designs because I found them elegant and at the same time sporty, I remember always telling my father that this style of car was my favorite, on different occasions I saw that style of car in TV series and movies and I found it impressive, But when I was out of my home and I saw Mustangs driving on the street, they never looked like the movies, very few were completely cared for, with their original parts and all the ones I saw were the opposite, they were damaged, somewhat rusted, unpolished and I remember asking my dad "Why don't you take care of them? "My father laughed and asked me if I wanted to take care of them and my answer was simple "Someday I will have one, it doesn't matter if it is damaged because I will improve it", I think that from that moment on having a Mustang has become my dream, the car of my dreams.
Como dije anteriormente, mi admiración hacia los Ford Mustang viene por cómo los ví más que nada en películas, como por ejemplo 60 Segundos, John Wick y Ford vs Ferrari, como pueden ver, en estos tres films este modelo de carro Ford es muy importante, aunque sean modelos diferentes, en Ford vs. Ferrari, el modelo de Mustang es un GT40, en 60 Segundos el Mustang es un Shelby GT500 modelo 1967 y el de Jhon Wick es un Ford Mustang Mach 1 de 1969, este modelo es el que más me gusta, es un auto sumamente poderoso a primera vista, pero también es muy elegante, creo que es imponente, es como si en algún momento cobrara vida propia y empezará a correr sin detenerse en realidad es un hermoso y fuerte auto.
As I said before, my admiration for the Ford Mustang comes from how I saw them more than anything in movies, such as 60 Seconds, John Wick and Ford vs Ferrari, as you can see, in these three films this Ford car model is very important, although they are different models, in Ford vs. Ferrari, the Mustang model is a GT40, in 60 Seconds the Mustang is a Shelby GT500 1967 model and the one in John Wick is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, this model is the one I like the most, it is an extremely powerful car at first sight, but it is also very elegant, I think it is imposing, it is as if at some point it took on a life of its own and started to run without stopping in reality it is a beautiful and strong car.
Creo que el tener un Mustang es para personas que le gustan los detalles, de seguro todo aficionados de los autos pensaran de la misma forma con los carros de su preferencia, pero siempre he creído que este tipo de autos están llenos de eso, es por eso que a pesar de la fuerza del motor y su velocidad, los Mustang son más que un auto deportivo, creo que están hechos para que cualquiera pueda enamorarse de ellos, puede ser por sus diferentes diseños, el sonido del motor al encenderlo, su velocidad y hasta el chasis porque para mí eso también los hace poderosos, claro cabe destacar que los modelos al que hago referencia son los diseños desde los años 60' a mediados de los 70' en dónde Ford pudo darle al mundo excelente modelo de automóvil.
I think that having a Mustang is for people who like details, surely all car fans think the same way with the cars of their preference, but I have always believed that this kind of cars are full of that, that's why despite the strength of the engine and its speed, Mustangs are more than a sports car, I think they are made so that anyone can fall in love with them, it can be because of their different designs, the sound of the motor when turning it on, its speed and even the chassis because for me that also makes them powerful, of course it is worth mentioning that the models I am referring to are the designs from the 60's to the mid 70's where Ford could give the world an excellent model of automobile.
En Venezuela, en la ciudad donde vivo habré visto muy pocos modelos en excelentes condiciones, recuerdo que de niño al dirigirme a la universidad pasaba por un concesionario automotriz en dónde tenían un Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, azul con rayas blancas, hermoso, mis amigos y yo le llamamos "La hermana de Eleonor" un carro hermoso, brillante y siempre imaginaba el sonido de su motor, lamentablemente en Venezuela he dejado de ver este tipo de carros, pero eso no evita que busque el costo actual en mi país y he conseguido variedad, están las personas que por no poder restaurar a este tipo de autos clásicos los deben vender y tratar de recuperar lo gastado, los precios son de 4 mil $ a 10 mil $, pero estos a pesar de ser del año 1969, no son del modelo, también están los que venden un modelo Mustang del año 1970 y por su gran cuidado el precio para su venta es de 50000 $, para ser sincero es imposible para mí pagar un costo tan alto por un auto, la situación económica de mi país no es la adecuada para realizar ese gasto, pero sé que un futuro podré comprar e ir paso a paso restaurando el carro de mis sueños, puede ser un Mustang Shelby GT 500 o un Mach 1, pero sé que en algún momento de mi vida podré obtener el auto de mis sueños.
