En nuestro país Venezuela, según las creencias cristianas, cada 24 de junio celebramos el nacimiento de Juan Bautista, un profeta que anunció la venida de Cristo y quien más tarde lo bautizó en el río Jordán.
En este mes abunda la alegría, la esperanza y la vida. Cada 24 de junio, al menos en nuestro país, siempre esperamos un torrencial aguacero, que desde que tengo uso de razón ha sido característico. Esto tiene una explicación científica, pero siempre nos guiamos por el misticismo y las creencias.
Hoy no podía ser la excepción y desde tempanas horas el aguacero inundó las calles de mi ciudad, pero también se realizaron varios rituales religiosos según cada creencia. Unos hacen fogatas a la orilla del mar, otros hacen una misa para acercarse a San Juan Bautista y que este nos abra el camino hacia Dios.
