I remember when I started to buy my first Bitcoin was around 4000 USD... timeframe wise it was 8/22/2017. I just pulled up my very first transaction and boy what a memory! This was just before it was going on main stream media and not knowing what this really is I dived into the world of crypto currency.
My very first step into the world of Bitcoin... At the time everyone around me was telling me I just threw my money away on digital worthlessness. Lolz!!!
This was a time when most people did not know what Bitcoin was and for a price of $4000 per Bitcoin it was considered extremely high too especially when most people didn't know it was going to be used or purposed for.
Good Times!~~ When BTC was going above 8K~~~ It was absolute bliss... Bahahaha!
This was a time where I thought being a day trader is the way to go and to be honest, I had no idea what the hell I was stepping into. I actually started trading Bitcoin before I started trading stocks!!! So experiencing the world of extreme volatility I have truly experienced all phases from absolute greed to heart pounding fear...
Looking at the below photo date on end of 2017... 10K was a BIG DEAL for Bitcoin!!~~ LOLLLZ!!
For sure I did learn a lot from many mistakes and when I think about it now I would like to share some of the dumbest things I have setup to try and beat the market, and what I learned from its experience.
First of all, I think starting to trade with crypto as a first trading experience might have been a bit too adventurous or just down right dumb, considering that I have never even traded stocks before. YouTube was my best friend at the time and the most hilarious part of it all is that when you just started to understand and read candle charts... what I needed most at the time was MORE MONITORS. If it looks PRO... Its gotta be PRO. Bwaaahahahahahah!!!
When I look at the photos now... I face slap myself even now... what da fuk in the world was I doing? At that time I believe I was trying to look at multiple crypto's at the same time and find a correlation to find entry points and exit points for swing trading on a 1-5 min chart.... (Face Slap x 9999). Come to think of it... it was practically no different than a casino with my Newb experience back in 2017.
I realize most of the time spent was not having enough sleep and this was a time where Bitcoin was such a huge deal going from 2017 to 2018. Huge Huge DEAL!!~~ I still remember the day we were going to the Moon~~ 18K All time high was really such a big deal... it was extremely short lived but man.... the Euphoria. Looking at my Bitcoin wallet breathing air was my cocaine... it was unbelievable... and then~~~ down comes the crash! It was so fast... Everyone panic selling. LOLZ!!! It was such a roller coaster.
If it Looks COOL and hightech... its gotta work like a pro. OHHHH man.... The power of stupendous greed. LOLZ!!
After the dust has settled down I decided that day trading was just too much action for me and moved on to humble GPU/CPU mining and buying crypto at DCA (Dollar Cost Average) when I can afford to. To be honest, this way was for me proven to be the best way. Emotionless investing... this was my way to beat the market. Buy some and just move on~ Do something more productive~~ hehehe.
The 1080Ti was extremely overpriced at the time because it was hard to find... Now... its everywhere. :)
Mining.... just let it do its thing.
All those screenshots of the times when I was screaming with joy when Bitcoin hit 10K... the absolute fear I had when Ethereum was in the ONE hundreds.... when I look at the numbers today..... man..... who would have known crypto is still active and it surprises me every damn time. The future of crypto will be one crazy ass ride... but a positive one for all of us who are participating in it now.
I learn... I laugh... I move on.
