Anthropic, an Artificial intelligence (AI) company has launched a beta version of its Claude AI that enables it to operate a computer's mouse and keyboard autonomously, allowing the AI to perform tasks like navigating windows, clicking buttons, and typing text to mimic human interaction with computers. The upgraded Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Claude 3.5 Haiku models offer improvements in coding and performance over their predecessors. The new functionality allows AI to physically interact with user interfaces, potentially revolutionizing various industries. Developers can test the feature and provide feedback to improve the system's operational logic. Anthropic is taking proactive steps to mitigate privacy and security risks associated with the technology.

X-AiR Robot: The Future of Cooking

Moley Robotics founded by Dr. Mark Oleynik, has designed an X-AiR robot to do all cooking, including meal preparation. This is to help people eat better, reduce dependence on processed foods, and save time. The features of the X-AiR robot are robot arm with control tablet and kitchen fixtures, recipes adapted by the in-house chef, movements mapped onto robot after human chef demonstration. X-AiR doesn't have a native vision system to allow it to sense and engage with its environment, so it moves around with memory of its surroundings, like where the ingredients, pots, and utensils should be. The robot is currently available for purchase at a whopping cost of $105,000.

X (formerly Twitter) and its partners are still using user-generated content for AI training to improve AI language models and provide premium services for users. X (formerly Twitter) has now provided further clarifications of its terms to clearly show that its platform users consent to letting their posts or other content be used for AI training. The kickoff date for this massive change has been slated for November 15, 2024. Between now and then, every user of the X platform needs to understand that by using the platform, they have given full permission to allow their content to be used in AI training. The permission covers both the use of such data by X and also its partners.

The Zero Click Internet is Here

image.png

Artificial intelligence is going to change everything. Nowhere is this more visible than with the Internet. The "zero-click" internet is an era where user interaction with online content becomes more passive. With this shift, content is automatically presented without requiring users to click through multiple steps, driven by advancements in algorithms and artificial intelligence. Platforms like Google, YouTube, and social media are leading this transformation by offering auto-suggested or auto-played content, reducing the need for active browsing. This trend represents a fundamental change in how information is consumed, making the internet more intuitive but raising questions about data control and user autonomy. Are we ready for this shift?
