Disney is approved for a patent. “Virtual World Simulation” on December 28, 2021
Disney has been granted a patent that would allow people to participate in interactive, personalized attractions at the theme parks. The patents cover Augmented Reality (AR) attractions that allow visitors to experience new worlds and interact with characters from movies or TV shows.
The metaverse has been mostly been imagined as being an online world, but Disney wants to bring it into the real world.
“We’ll be able to connect the physical and digital worlds even more closely, allowing for storytelling, without boundaries in our own Disney Metaverse.” CEO Bob Chapek said.
