Protect yourself and your loved ones from scams

This year has been amazing for cryptocurrencies in general. The rise of Bitcoin is impossible to ignore now (Hey Deutsche Bank :D) and it's like almost everyone is talking about this "magic internet money." But as everything in life, it is not all flowers and rainbows.

Bitcoin is on his way to become more mainstream, also there are beautiful projects being launched just like HIVE, Leo, LBRY, some NFTs and so on... In parallel there is an increase of people wanting to get that juicy piece of cake without having to put any work or investment, these people AKA scammers are the ones who steal from the ones who put the real effort. This is not new, since the beginning of the internet we can all agree that these rats are almost everywhere and there is nothing like a world without them. The fact is that cryptocurrencies are a brand-new sector inside the digital world, meaning that there will be new scam mechanisms being created for this specific field.

Nowadays is not that hard to fall in one of these traps. Some weeks ago, my aunt told me these specific words: "YOO WE NEED TO INVEST IN BITCOIN SYSTEM, A FAMOUS GUY SAID IT ON TV".
To be honest I didn't know how to react to this since I was really a newbie in the crypto world, so basically my brain was in between "this is a scam 100%" and "mmm... it has the word bitcoin and sounds interesting". But after she explains me what is this bitcoin system all about (a trading bot with 500% weekly profit), I immediately recognized the huge scam it is, a 2-minute research on google confirmed my hypothesis. Now imagine if someone is really desperate to get that money and hear about this or if this fraud was a bit more developed... oh surprise you are screwed!

Humans are easily manipulable and more if there is money involved. Having few or zero experience on some topic could cost you a lot, and this is the common situation with older people and the Internet.

The message is: Don't let your guard down.

Crypto and blockchain environment is getting complex every day and it's harder to keep track of all the new features and projects coming out. If you feel comfortable with your current knowledge, in my opinion, you should play safer or expect something that might play with your pocket.

Thanks for reading, stay informed and advise your family and friends if possible.
