The Average Life Span zof Crypto Projects.

For a long time now, its been a known fact that most crypto projects are short lived and die out with time as people either realise they're either a joke, the hype dies out and if the project is a scam. Before this post, I personally never knew how long the average crypto project out there lives but was sure to not just invest in anything too flashy and anything i didnt understand, but it wasn't always like this. Thankfully, we now know the average life span of cryptp projects, thanks to Coinopsy's that study to shows the average life span of crypto projects using data like their volume and activities in a couple months, date created and their purpose.

The study shows that the average lifespan of a crypto project is 15months, which is quite shocking tbh but I guess they came up with this value by including projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum that have been around for over a decade. Most shitcoins, projects with little or no purpose/ utulity and projects built to scam / exploit people in the crypto space have an average life span of 6 months and sadly these projects are 9 in every 10 cryptos project.

Another interesting to note is that the study shows that made popular projects would die out in a couple years from when they were created and that staying and surviving for a couple years didn't mean they would last for decades. Also, that many new shiny projects would die out fast as people move from one shiny new project to the other with hopes of fast gains.

Having the knowledge that most crypto projects put there have a short life span should motivate us to carefully invest our time and money in projects with lobg term goals, projects that arent about that fast cash and quick money, and most importantly, projects that would be impacting lives for decades to come. These gems are very much around us like the dirts, we just have to find them and stick to them.
