Capacity of the US Grid

Electrical companies in the United States operate on a simple premise: Peak demand + 15%. This is what the maximum production capacity of the grid is.

In this video I discuss how the average production is half of that. The reason is because production meets demand. This can change with storage. The ability to store electricity with batteries will allow for a doubling of the electrical production. This is a massive shift while also providing homeowners with arbitrage opportuntiies.
