Hive A Lifestyle, No Matter How Low The Price Gets

This post is inspired by @acesontop post on AskLeo - Will a $0.30 HIVE Affect Your "Hiving Routine"?, very good topic if I must say. Hive is a great platform that have created massive opportunities for a lot of people including myself. Lots of people depend on Hive and crypto in general, I talked about being a cryptopreneur sometimes but that was a very long time ago. That post was how the life of a person depending on crypto as a source of living is. In as much as the pump can be exciting, especially when you have some of your assets staked in DeFi, the dip can be really frustrating.

Writing on Hive has been really fun, exciting and worthwhile, in as much as it started as something fun to do while I figure my life out initially, I can’t help but see and appreciate the impact Hive has in my life. Financially, Hive has helped me achieved a lot, I saw myself diversifying my earnings into other blockchains and trying other investments that became profitable. So yeah, Hive is more of a lifestyle to me, a day without spending some time on the blockchain is not complete day for me. For instance, I decided to give myself some break away from Hive, to try and connect with the outside world because ever since I found Hive in 2021, 98% of my days have been spent on Hive and I am not exaggerating. Well, that didn’t go as planned as I am here writing on Hive and trying to engage before I go to sleep.

I joined Hive when it’s value was $0.17 and it felt like a gold mine then, I started blogging and earning and watched Hive pump from $0.17 to $3.4. Yeah Hive did over 1000% after I joined, I must say, blogging was really fun when Hive was $3.4 because, the value of curations were higher, it was easy to make above $60 on post, imagine the value of the upvotes you are getting multiplied by 5. Yeah that was how sweet it was, but then, as we can see, the value of Hive has declined to the current price. I remember saying confidently that Hive will never go below $0.5, because, I thought, $1 was going to be Hive’s strongest support price. But it has declined way below $1 that I don’t bother trying to be a price prophet anymore, just moving with the flow and enjoying every Hive moment, one day at a time.

Will $0.3 Price Affect My Hiving Routine?
That’s a big No for me, technically I have been earning the same number of HP or more ever since the dip, during the dip, I earn more HP because they worth lesser than they used to be. It’s just the value that is less, the HP is more which is a greater advantage for me. This will enable me achieve my 12k HP goal faster before the year ends. I see no reason to change my Hiving routine if Hive dips to that price. If that changes most of the content creator’s Hiving routine, then it’s a plus for the remaining content creators who still stay no matter the price. This is because, there will be lesser competition as the number of content creators reduce.

Besides, blogging on Hive doesn’t require fees, it’s totally free, or rather resource credit which I have enough of. So it will be so unwise in my opinion to allow the price of Hive change my Hiving routine, if it’s going to change my Hiving routine it should only mean that I have to increase my engagement and do more. That means my routine on Hive is changed for the better. This way I utilize the opportunity better than I used to.
