Before i go into the details of my post. What is web3 incentivization?
Web3 Incentivization is the process of building an incentives web3 community in order to motivate or encourage the creators or users within the web3 community. It is based on the idea that individuals within the systems can perform better, when they are given rewards or prizes to foster participation and engagement in the Hive system. We see social media community as a place where groups of people with common interest converge with other users to share sensitive contents, ideas, thoughts and discussion on related post and solving of problems in the cause of the published contents by asking and answering questions.
Furthermore, this community revolves around skilled or grounded professions, hobbies, mutual engagement and topics that could bring users together for friendship, engagement and incentivization.
Therefore, in my understanding of web2 and web3. Web2 revolves around features like, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatSapp, just of recent i discovered changes in my WhatSapp status, having different groups of current actors and actresses just like in Facebook. I didn't engaged those groups because it won't worth my time and my attention, so i opted out to concentrate on Hive that will bring valuable tokens to my wallet. These are the Web2 social media platforms that do not add tokens to the users. Within the Web3 settings, Hive communities connect and engaged with other users and virtually, owning and controlling the resources.
Nevertheless, Hive blockchain is a web3 platform that has social media features, incentivizing its users with rewards that keeps them motivated and to perform better without being coerced but encouraged when they are given rewards to foster more engagement in the Hive system. Like the new emerged system called, #InLeo. Here, quality short term posts with 240 characters are known as threads, made with incentivization and also comments are being incentivized to steer up the heart of the users to stay intact in publishing, commenting and engaging. This system of social media is tagged as micro-blogging and micro-earning. As youmicro-blog, you also micro-earn by earning small fractions.
In overall, incentivization is crucial in keeping communities of social media active and participating, and more users will come onboard to participate because of incentivization. Many communities are dead, due to lack of incentivization. There are 3500 communities on Hive, number of subscribers, active authors, followers and high reputation code.
The goal of this development is to empower and encourage community owners and members who can post or comment in a hands-off fashion. This incentivization enables them to create paid by their quality contents. This will bring power to the community members and increase their ownership of their content and resources.
Incentivizing users participation would really help participants cover part of their costs and encourage more participation.
In conclusion, when community participation is well incentivized, rewarded, it will encourage and motivate to maintain their status quo and build the community by their participation. The Zealy Campaign staged by #InLeo majored on users attention, that's the reason for incentivization.
The incentivization of users for participating in Web3 community is a better idea for activation of the communities and the members and new members to come onboard.
