Hace un par de semanas llegué al nivel de delfín en Hive. Esta era una meta que estaba esforzándome hace tiempo para lograrla, y no ha sido fácil ya que tengo más de 4 años que empecé en esta plataforma, los cumplí el pasado mes mayo. Pueden ver aquí el post que escribí para esa ocasión.

A couple of weeks ago I reached the dolphin level in Hive. In a sense one can say that I reached the “dolphinhood” ;-) This was a goal that I have been striving for a long time to achieve, and it has not been easy. I started to publish in this platform more than four years ago. You can read the post that I published last May for this occasion.
¿Qué quiere decir que se logró el nivel de delfín (o dolphin)? Es uno de los niveles que indica el orden de magnitud de la cantidad de HP (hive power) que se tiene acumulado. Sin embargo, la información precisa es más complicada y para entenderla hay que detallar más el sistema monetario de la cadena de Hive, el cual es bastante elaborado. Como saben hay tres monedas: hive, hive backed dólar (HBD) y hive power (HP). No voy a entrar en la explicación de cada una de ellas. Sin embargo, se puede decir que el HP es hive ”stacked”, representa la cantidad de recursos de la cadena a la que se tiene acceso (por ejemplo, peso de voto, recompensas por curación, etc) . Pero la unidad en la que se refleja de manera cuantitativa y absoluta estos recursos del sistema es el VEST. Sin embargo esta no se transa directamente, se hace en HP y la cantidad HP que se requiere para 1 Vest aumenta constantemente, de ahí provienen las recompensas por el staking del HP. Hive es inflacionario, el circulante de Hive y HP aumenta día a día. Dicho estos detalles técnicos, los niveles que hay Hive se basan en la cantidad de Vest, estos son:
Redfish: 10^5 Vests
Minnow: 10^6 Vests
Dolphin: 10^7 Vests
Orca: 10^8 Vests
Whale: 10^9 Vests
What does it mean that the dolphin level was reached? It is one of the levels that shows the orden of magnitude of Hive Power (HP) accumulated in the account. However a precise description is more complicated and to understand it we have to explain the
monetary system of the Hive blockchain, which is quite elaborated. As you know there are three coins: Hive, Hive backed dollar (HBD), Hive Power (HP). We can say that HP is Hive staked in the platform and represents the amount of resources that the user has in the chain (such as weight of power, curation rewards, etc.). But the unit that reflects these resources in absolute way is not HP is VEST. However Vest cannot be exchanged or traded directly, it is done via HP. The amount of HP required for 1 Vest increases constantly, from here the HP staking rewards comes. Hive and HP are inflationary, since its circulant increases daily. Having said these technical points, the levels in Hive are measured for the amount of Vests in the account, and these levels are:
Redfish: 10^5 Vests
Minnow: 10^6 Vests
Dolphin: 10^7 Vests
Orca: 10^8 Vests
Whale: 10^9 Vests
Como mencioné tengo más de cuatro años en esta plataforma publicando regularmente. El crecimiento de mi cuenta ha sido orgánico, este ha sido logrado por la publicación interrumpida de posts. No he invertido capital aquí, no obstante bastante horas de trabajo. Tampoco he realizado ningún power down en hive ni en steem, mientras me mantuve activo en esta cadena.
As I mentioned I have been here for more than four years publishing posts regularly. The growth of my account have been organic, it was based on this work. I have not invested money, nevertheless I have spent a lot of time here. I have not done any power down in Hive nor in steem during the time that I was active there.

Quienes siguen mi blog saben que la área principal de mis posts es fotografía, y cuando trato algún tema procuro usar fotografías de mi autoría para ilustrar el tópico en cuestión. No tengo fotos de delfines en mi archivo como para publicar aquí, pero sí de ballenas. ¿Quién sabe algún día llegue a ese nivel?
As you know my blog is mainly about photography, whenever I write about a topic I try to use a photo of my authorship for illustrating the topic. Unfortunately I do not have any photo of dolphins in my my collection, but I do have photos of whales !! Who knows if someday I reach this level :-)
