El pasado 15 de mayo cumplí 4 años desde que comencé en Steem y estuve publicando en esa red de manera continua hasta su bifurcación el año pasado, cuando seguí produciendo contenido en la red de Hive. Han sido cuatro años de actividad constante y continua publicando posts en mi blog.
On May 15 2017 I joined Steem and I have been publishing regularly in this platform until last year hard fork, since them I have been continuing my activity of publishing content in the Hive blockchain. There have been four years of constant activity of publishing content in my blog.
En este lapso de tiempo se han transitado muchos altibajos de la plataforma, pero con certeza ha sido un tiempo excitante. Creo que se puede decir que soy uno de los “veteranos” de esta red, viendo la cantidad de nuevos usuarios que hay.
In this period of time there have been many ups and downs in this platform, but it has certainly been an exciting time. Seeing the amount of new users that have joined Hive, we can say that I am one of the "veterans" here.
Como saben mi blog, trata principalmente de fotografía, siendo este mi “hobby mas serio”; me he dedicado a esta actividad desde mi adolescencia temprana. He transitado buena parte de la evolución de la tecnología fotográfica de las últimas décadas: fotografía en 35mm con cámaras completamente manuales, incluso revelando mis propias fotos en blanco y negro, luego las cámaras reflex con cierto grado de automatización que comenzaron a mediados de la década de los 80 y en el 2001 comencé en el mundo digital. Este medio ha evolucionado muchísimo desde entonces. Cada vez que se presenta la oportunidad, uso mis fotografías para exponer e ilustrar algún tema, como dice el lema de mi blog: Photography and other topics.
As you know, the main topic of my blog is photography, which is my “most serious hobby”. I have been dedicated to photography since I was a teenager. I have lived first hand the changes of this media during the last decades: I started with 35mm photography with manual cameras, including processing my own black and white photos. Later I had the SLR cameras with some degree of automatization (in the middle 80s) and in 2001 I had my first digital camera. The digital photography has changed so much since them. Whenever I had the opportunity I used some of my photos to introduce a discussion of a subject in my publications, as the motto of my blog: “Photography and other topics”.
Sin embargo cuando comencé en Steem, me dediqué a publicar sobre muchos otros temas que captan mi atención y mi tiempo: reseñas de libros y películas, artículos de divulgación sobre temas económicos y matemáticos. Sin embargo por razones de tiempo, he dejado de publicar en estos temas aquí, me gustaría poder volver a retomar estos temas en mi blog.
However when I started in Steem, I wrote about my other topics that I am interested in, for examples reviews of books and movies, about economy, science and mathematics. However I stopped publishing about those topics here, due to lack of time. I would like to return of this type of posts in my blog.
Quiero destacar que publicar fotos no es fácil, como mucha gente piensa. Primero está el proceso de tomar las fotografías en sí mismo, luego la selección de estas, considero que sólo del 0.5% al 1% de las imágenes tomadas merecen ser publicadas (y creo que estoy mencionando un porcentaje alto), luego la edición de estas lo cual consume bastante tiempo y finalmente la escritura del texto correspondiente (cuando es bilingüe no uso ningún tipo de traductor).
I would like to remark that posting photos is not an easy task as many people think. First you have to take the photos, later select them, I consider that only between 0.5% to 1% of the photos taken are publishable (even I think that these percentages are quite high).
After the selection comes the edition of the images, which is a very time consuming activity. Later comes to write the text of the post, when it is bilingual I do not use any automatic translator.
En este tiempo he conocido muchas personas aquí, sin embargo muchos de los amigos que hice en un principio, lamentablemente no continuan activos en Hive.
During this time I knew many people here, however the majority of friends that I made at the begging here, are not active in Hive.
Hay muchos usuarios de Hive que me han ayudado a crecer en esta plataforma a lo largo de estos cuatro años, es difícil mencionarlos a todos pero cabe destacar a @daveks (extraño los concursos de fotografía en blanco y negro que organizaba), @rynow, @rnunez09 por los interesantes intercambios de ideas sobre diversos tópicos que hemos tenido en esta plataforma.
Agradezco el apoyo que me ha otorgado el Proyecto @cervantes y sus diversos grupos de curación (@don.quijote, @sancho.panza, @goya, @velazquez,@simon.bolivar, @fridakahlo y @ramonycajal) a lo largo de este tiempo.
Extraño los concursos fotográficos que organizados por @cervantes. También quiero destacar a @qurator por los interesantes retos fotográficos que anuncia semanalmente. Me gustaría mencionar también a @criptomonedastv y al proyecto @votame por su apoyo.
During these four years many users helped me in Hive, it is difficult to mention all of them. However I would like to mention
@daveks (I miss the black and white photo contest that he organized), @rynow, @pdc and @rnunez09 for interesting exchange of ideas about different topics.
I would like to thank the support of the “Proyecto @cervantes” and its curation groups, I miss its photo challenges. I also would like to mention @qurator for its interesting weekly photo contests.
