Have you guys ever think that Is there any other planet where humans can live or are you guys interested to see how stars looks like? Today I'm here to tell you guys about one of the most exceptional inventions that scientists have made to explore the space and is there any planet where humans can live.
I'm talking about NASA's great telescope invention that is called "James Webb Telescope". It costs around 10 Billion dollars and it took 25 years to complete its developments and design. One of the interesting thing is that today where this telescope is located, it is operating at the temperature of (-266.75°C) which is very cold as compared to our planet.
This James Webb Telescope is 1.5 million km far from our earth. Its focal length is 131.4 metres and the weight of the mirrors attached to this telescope is 705 kg. Actually, this telescope is located on the space to take photos of different stars, there are 2 cameras attached NIRCAM (Near-Infrared camera) and MIRICAM (Mid-Infrared Instruments).
In 2022, these two cameras captured a photo of a dying star, when NASA revealed the pictures, it goes very viral on the social media. The point to be noted is that the picture taken from NIRCAM, you can only see one shining star but the photo taken from MIRICAM, you can see there are two stars, a shining star and a dull star they are very close to each other. According to the researchers, the shining one is a newborn star and the dull one is a dying star.
I agree it is very shocking thing that how its possible that a star dies but similarly as we humans have a life cycle, the stars also have a life cycle. Stars also gets teen then mid age and then the end.
Now coming to the very first photo that is captured with the help of this modern telescope was a photo of Galaxy Cluster SMACS 0723, which was taken by NIRCAM. This is one of the most historic pictures because it shows a glimpse of 13.1 billion years ago. This is not a simple photo as we take by our cameras by just clicking the button, on the contrary, it took 12.5 hours to take this photo.
On Nov 2018, the researchers found that there is another planet that is very similar to our earth and they think there is a high chance that it is Habitable, we can live on that planet. This planet was named "Trappist -1E". It is 40 light years away from our planet that equals to 380 trillions kms. According to the researchers, the temperature on this planet is in the Habitable zone, its dimensions are very similar to our earth. In future this telescope will gonna search more about this planet that Is it really possible to live there?
If it becomes possible that humans can live on this planet then think what might happen. In my opinion then the scientists will start sending the humans there to start up a new life and with the help of the advanced technologies, they can start living their life's there as now we are living on the earth.
