There was this one time, it was said that a particular president of a country tagged the youths of that country as lazy possibly because of their activities on the social media space. Wether or not he had enough backup or reasons for his claim, it's actually upto him but i can beat my chest to categorically say that the days where youths didn't care about making a livelihood is far over.

I can recall a class in social studies in my primary school days where we were being taught about youths and the society. Our teacher then asked who a youth is and we answered a person from 22 to about 40 years who is capable of most likely fending for his/herself. This lead to a great discussion between the teacher and us. She made us understand that in the overseas, a youth can be termed from 18 years. This is because at this age most parents leave them to start fending for themselves at this age. I think Nigeria has also gotten to this level where the youths want to and are actively involved in several phases of life, in service to God, to humanity, to nature, to economic development and infrastructure.

Young people now own business, create employment opportunities for others and societal growth doing perfectly well for themselves. On earth there must be good and evil, so are there youths who are vagabonds delving into all sort of dubious businesses in the name of making a living, hence the youths tagged lazy and incompetent.

And I ask when shall the good others do be used to generalize a group, why always the bad?
I am a youth and I'm willing to pay a just livelihood for survival.
Thank you so much for going through my article. I hope you love it
