The HPUD Symbolic And Some Alpha Purchases

Greetings, fellow sentient beings!

It's the First of September, a day for powering up en masse, a day for symbolism, I would say. And I am just evening up some numbers. In terms of Powering Up, today's amount is humble, symbolic only...But we'll get to where I spent my hiveses soon enough.

Here be the before and after snapshots:

Well, I've powered up tens of times more in one go before, and I've gained such an amount of HP as a single post's rewards, but it's the spreading the word that counts, so here I am, adding to the word-spreading effort.

My liquid hive, apart from an amount I am keeping in order to be able to return it to somebody should things go south, did go into some kind of investment this week.

Aye, you know about the Splinterlands boom, already. As a poor soul who sold zounds of cards for pennies back in the days, I have no bragging rights.

I am just about to share what I could think of in the pickles that I am right now.

Buying back when it's expensive...does it make sense?

The game did prove that it was about to stay and make its marks upon the general gaming stage. BE a leader, even. Now, I can really compare it in my mind with Magic The Gathering in terms of endurance. I hope it stays so. And you know what everybody would like to own in MTG? Alpha cards. Not exclusively, but still quite desirable.

So, for instance, I bought tree, already high in price, but I intend to hodl on to them this time. And meanwhile, the cool thing is...

I can rent them. Rent them and still hold them long-term. That's a great aspect of the game. And I am about to celebrate that.

Also, keeping some liquid DEC now, so that I can react to new editions and/or certain card price movements. I am not quite familiar with the sought after cards so...

Anyway, investment is best if you can identify a potentially great card in advance. Before the market does it for you. I shall think about that.

Cheers!

Yours,

Manol
