Un nuevo informe presentado por Bitso, titulado “Panorama cripto en América Latina: Reporte 1er semestre 2024”, reveló que Bitcoin continúa siendo la criptomoneda de elección para los inversores de la región en lo que va de 2024.
Según los datos del estudio realizado por el exchange latinoamericano, un 53% de sus clientes poseen la criptomoneda madre dentro de sus carteras, demostrando ser la criptomoneda con mayor peso dentro de todo su universo de clientes.
Brasil, el país con mayor preferencia por Bitcoin
Entre los países estudiados por Bitso, destaca el caso de Brasil que, según los datos del exchange, representa un 60% de la cartera promedio del usuario brasileño. De hecho, en 2024 se reportó un incremento en comparación con lo que fue el 2023, ya que en la información del exchange se planteó que era un 58% lo que representaba Bitcoin en la cartera promedio. Con este dato el exchange llegó a afirmar que la criptomoneda madre “es la cripto más consolidada y consensuada como reserva de valor”.
Colombia, el único país de la región con menos de un 50% de tenencia de BTC
Con un 47% de las billeteras con tenencia de Bitcoin, Colombia se presenta como el país de la región con menos preferencia por la principal criptomoneda el mercado y además “siendo el único país analizado con menos de la mitad de la cartera”, según lo explicó el equipo de Bitso.
Desde el exchange explicaron que el análisis de la información permite concluir que los usuarios colombianos “han decidido invertir la liquidez en activos más riesgosos” y ello debido a que las altcoins subieron de un 14% a un 17% de la cartera, mientras que el uso de stablecoins ancladas al dólar bajaron de un 17% a un 12%.
