How to keep your community engaged

The threadcast hosted on the 29th of November live on the X app by @Breads was titled "Behind the Bags E.p.17. And the topic that was the focal point of the podcast was "How To Keep Your Community Engaged After Mint".

It started with gifting where the host gave a task to the listeners and whoever gets the tasks better wins the gift.

The question of how to keep your community engaged after mint has been a long conversation that has been explored on the Behind the Bags live shows in almost all of its previous episodes right up to the current episode, the 17th episode. It consists of what are those things that keep people glued to various hive blockchain communities? What motivates people to participate and be fully engaged in the various communities that they prefer on the blockchain system? The goal of the threadcast was to educate people, and give people information and befitting answers to these questions that they will apply and grow in the blockchain system.

The threadcast suggested lots of ways of keeping the community engaged. One of them stressed the need to keep the community busy until you deliver on your promise, this view was according to Breads. It also concerned the regards to the goals and the aspirations of the community, the core reasons and values which a community was created for and protecting it for the sake of this community. Having this consistency of promoting the core values and goals of a community helps keep people in the community and makes them want to engage in the contents in the various communities.

It's also important to set a certain level of expectations for every community. The founders and the minting team of every community should have a clear definition of the expectations of their community. They must have a view of how they want the community to grow and the basics of the contents in these communities. They should run on constant engagement, communication, information, and disciplinary formations. A community should not consider taking a break at any point. It should focus on using every means naturally possible to promote the expectations of the people in the community. This means that for a person to join a community first hand, they must have read through what is expected of them in these communities.

There exists the over-hyping of community goals and expectations. In most cases, it will be bad for community goals and expectations to be over hyped. This is because, when it is over hyped, it is likely going to be one that the community might not be able to live to its expectations, which will in turn discourage people or slow down the engagement of the community. In a better understanding, it is better to draft moderate goals and expectations for your community rather than go for the high-high goals which might end up bringing the low-low results.

It's also pertinent to discuss the place of remuneration. The ways or manners by which people are rewarded and contents curated, also help to determine or motivate people to encourage people to keep encouraging. The rewards that people get on their content, the equitable system of rewards on different communities will also help to make people feel valued and by extension that will keep them glued to the community and they will surely engage.
