Bitget Wallet becomes first crypto wallet to support national Vietnam QR payment

Bitget Wallet has become the first crypto wallet to support Vietnam’s national QR payment standard, VietQR, marking a significant leap in bridging digital assets with real-world payments.

Unveiled at the Solana Summit in Da Nang, the new “Scan to Pay” feature integrates both Solana Pay and VietQR into a single, seamless payment experience.

Now, users can pay with any Solana-based token or Vietnamese Dong (VND) at merchants supporting VietQR, all through one unified QR scan. This eliminates the need for multiple apps or complicated conversions, making both crypto and fiat payments accessible in everyday transactions.

The system automatically detects whether a payment is meant to be crypto or fiat and processes it accordingly, supporting a wide range of payment flows—both online and offline.

This innovation not only simplifies the user experience but also pushes the boundaries of crypto usability in Southeast Asia, where QR code payments are already a daily norm.

By merging blockchain technology with Vietnam’s established cashless infrastructure, Bitget Wallet is accelerating the adoption of digital currencies for practical, day-to-day use, and setting a new standard for interoperability between traditional finance and the crypto ecosystem.
