The first Hive outreach campaign that happened last month and ended on the 3rd of October has been a success per the update and that the number of active new bees onboarded went beyond the initial target for the month.
That's a great start, I must say and that is just the beginning. Since Leo is on a mission to grow the Hive user base, there will be a monthly campaign on Zealy, speaking of which, the October edition has just started today, 9th October at 00:01 UTC) and will run until 1st November (23:59 UTC). The prize pool for this is not small - 5,000 HBD to be split amongst the top 30% of the active leaderboard.
What the hell is Zealy?
If this is your first time reading about Zealy, I imagine you would be wondering what it is. It is a platform where many different communities grow and scale their user base by initiating campaigns with certain missions or tasks for participants to complete, accumulate experience points (XP) to rank in the leaderboards, and earn rewards.
There are literally thousands of communities or projects there and Hive is one of them. It will be amazing if most of the active and existing users will join the community to show support.
How to Join?
You will need an invite and if you don't have one yet, feel free to use this link. The invite link will direct you to a window like this:
Simply click on "Connect" and use your preferred method (Discord, wallet, or email address).
Once you're in, you will be presented with your dashboard with the list of quests and you can already start completing them.
There are certain tasks that stay locked until you finish what is required. Some are very simple and easy (like following X accounts etc), others are a bit more challenging but they are doable.
If an additional HBD can help you, I suppose this could be your chance. The top 10 winners of the previous campaign (with a 1,500 HBD prize pool) were rewarded with 75 HBD each and the top 11-30th with 37 HBD. For some, those amounts might be small, but for others, it can be a great help.
The October campaign has 5,000 HBD in the prize pool and depending on the number of active participants, those who rank up in the leaderboard could win larger amounts.
Why the need to increase Hive's user base?
Hive is a wonderful blockchain and we have different social frontends, gaming apps, and others. While Hive is a wonder on its own and there are infrastructures, features, and applications being built on-chain, it's also time to grow the user base and add more people who will benefit from all these and also make the Hive economy and ecosystem thrive even more.
The more the merrier, they say and I personally believe that is true. The more users Hive will have and the more will benefit from it, the better it is for everyone not only from a financial standpoint.
And as TM said, Hive will change lives. It's already changing some people's lives in other countries (in financial aspects, and for others, personal growth).
Back to the Zealy campaign this month, I would encourage everyone to join the initiative even if you are not feeling the hang of it. Mind you, there are various things to be learned, especially if you are mostly on Hive. It can be a good way to expand our horizons, all while helping in the growth of this blockchain.
