It's been raining all night and the week felt like a whirlwind. The weekend came fast, whew! Probably due to certain events that took us by surprise. I don't even remember what we did on Monday, lol! Not that it is important, it's just funny how short-term my memory is these days.
Anyhow, week 29th of the year is over and it's time again to check back on how things have been in real life and on chain. IRL, we had been spending the days in the hospital tending to my father-in-law who thankfully had been given clearance by his attending physician and was discharged late afternoon Saturday. We were chuffed he was back on his feet sooner than we thought. We are grateful to the Heavens!
During the old man's confinement, we (I and the little guy) spent most hours in the car as he was not allowed entry into the hospital. Here are just a few snapshots of him falling asleep. I couldn't resist photographing him, lol!

Meanwhile, things were generally good here on the blockchain. Despite the challenges of being on a smartphone, I still did the usual, although a bit of adjustment had to be made. Nothing so drastic but sometimes, it feels different when there are changes in the routine.
As to the numbers, let's see how they are:
Hive Power (HP)
- Current Stake: 21,456 HP
- Last Week: 21,216 HP
There was an addition of 240 (or 1.13% growth) during the week. They are mainly from author and curation rewards (only 20+ HIVE were manually powered up in the last seven days). It helped that the price of HIVE is still hovering around 20-22 cents. Here's the sporadic HP growth chart from Hivestats. It's still nice to see the HP climbing each day.
Leo Power (LP)
- Current Amount: 25,638 (19,638+6k)
- Previous Week: 27,911
Another 2,500 LEO slashed from my alt's stakes. My main account's Leo Power on the other hand is now at 6k. About 70+ LEO was added for week 29, mostly from manual staking.
HBD Savings
There was no increase from last week, the same balance of 1,155. I'm not adding to it for the time being. The thought of accumulating about 100 liquid HBD for the annual INLEO Premium subscription still lingers but will see. I can be very indecisive at times, lol!
Summing Up
Plans in the real world had some hiccups due to unforeseen circumstances but all is good. My Hive adventure continues as I try to balance things in between. And today being Sunday in our timezone will be spent recharging the depleted physical and emotional batteries. I have been feeling like a zombie most of the week due to disruption in my sleeping patterns so we are just gonna give in to having a lazy day. We owe it to ourselves so no guilt whatsoever. Promise, lol!
