Its December and now we can start celebrating Christmas properly here in Scotland. Its one of my fav times of the year !!!! My daughters had a nice surprise as she got to open her advent calendars this morning !

I've just completed my power up of just over 10 HP !
I had forgotten to hold back some HIVE in preparation for today, so raided 10 HIVE from my HBD:HIVE trading fund for todays power-up instead.
HPUD is really important for me. Growing my HP stack has been a goal since joining the HIVE ecosystem, and HPUD is a great way of helping that. I've currently got 10,103 HP and I'm now seeing the benefits from that in a number of places:
- My curation income,
- The ~3% APR on HP balances - it does not sound like much, but at 10K HP, that adds up to 300 HP per year, or ~6 HP per week,
- Other incomes from various HP delegations.
I also really like the community aspect of HPUD. It creates a buzz at the start of each month, and why not ! We should celebrate the start of a new month, and its great that those who have participated have more in their HP stack - we are all growing together ! Plus its good for the HIVE ecosystem - so whats not to like.
I also looked back at my history, and on the 3rd of December last year I had 2,869 HP, so have managed to grow that by 7,234 HP over the year which is quite incredible - the blockchain is a great place for opportunity.
