IPFS allows users to host, transfer, and receive files not connected to a central server. IPFS is built around a decentralized system of users and operators who hold a portion of the overall data.
The blockchain is an amazing structure and this is what makes it so unique in its way. Hive being on the blockchain is a good advantage to users because their files remain saved for a long time without the interference of any centralized body that could get them wiped off at any point in time.
Talking about the internet, this is what makes it cool to use web3 and decentralized platforms compared to the web2 interface.
The spk network is still in its test-net mode and I am also hopeful to see it run out fine because the integration with the hive blockchain will make it easier to even have a file system created where one can have their documents sent on chain. It's amazing to see this happen.
Theycallmedan gave a good insight about how possible it would be to have videos decentralized and also with the improved ways of technologies, it’s kinda making sense to see this come to life. Though there would have to be a lot of things involved, a lot of developers and development in the technical aspects to make it easy to incentivize the system. It's not something so easy.
However, when it gets built, it can be encoded or wrapped around other kinds of platforms too. Just like let me say, the 3speak is there for videos then it would be aligned towards saving videos, and also when it's channeled towards writing and blogging or saving photos then it just has to be channeled towards that aspect.
Hive blockchain is a strong system that can cover whatever aspect is needed, there are a lot of communities hosted on the chain, and being on the blockchain and also running a decentralized mechanism is one advantage to find it easier to integrate other projects with the Hive ecosystem.
Spk network is doing its best and also has good governance for its token. And I am hopeful the integration with hive would be of a greater level of advancement towards their main network plans ahead. Can't wait to see these amazing projects come on board.
