Hope everything is good at your end and enjoying the battle on field.
The Gladius cards become more value after the release of new Summoner cards with Conscript and new rule set named Are You Not Entertained?
Summoner with the Conscript ability is chosen, it will allow the player to use one more Gladiator card in the battle than normal.
Are You Not Entertained? - Players may play one additional Gladiator Card per battle.
In above both conditions players get the ability of using the Gladius card(s) evening in Ranked and Tournament play.
What makes the Gladius cards so special is first the Bloodlust ability and second is Soul bond nature. Bloodlust is one of the dangerous ability for the opponent which convert the monster into killing machine. How? - Every time a monster with Bloodlust defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats. which means it will increase the speed, health, shield and attack by +1 Stats. With the increase of stats the monster get the more strength in terms of health, shield and become more dangerous as speed and attack also increased.
Soul bond Nature
The Gladius cards are Soul bond nature. Which means the cards can not be tradable, transferable or delegated to others. The only way to get the card is to open the Gladius Packs. Gladius packs are purchasable with Merits only and you must be part of a Guild. If you wanna be a owner of those mighty cards then you have to be part of any Guild. Marits are available in loot chests and rewards form the Brawl play. Marits are the only currency which can be ssed to purchase the Gladius Packs.
Upgrading the Gladius Cards
Below are is the screenshot of some cards I upgraded. Some of the cards are big hitter. Look at RELENOR CLEAVER which has 4 melee attack but on the other side has low speed.
MARISOL CONTUMA has5 melee attack and 5 speed, Wow what a combination with reach ability.
CAPTAIN KATIE has good magic attack. Now look at EDITH EMBERSTAR which has mighty 5 ranged attack.
Gladius cards are really very strong in battles with heavy attacks. Th development team also indicated that the Gladius card will be more valuable in battels other then using them on Land for production.
Other then the above cards my favorite one is QUORA TOWERSHEAD. The card with Healing and double attack (Melee and Magic attack) along with bloodlust makes awesome card. I have three copies level 1 cards and to upgrade it t level 2 short by one copy. The card is equivalent to Legendary card in my opinion in terms of ability.
