JUST IN: 🇮🇹 Italy to raise capital gain tax on Bitcoin from 26% to 42%.

I strongly hope that the idea of raising capital gains taxes on Bitcoin from 26% to 42% will be reconsidered and questioned, because otherwise:

Those with significant capital will move their residence elsewhere to pay fewer taxes, something that is now easily and readily achievable. This will lead to even less tax revenue for Italy.

Those with small capital lose the already scarce incentive they had to declare, because it would be more advantageous for them to risk penalties than to have nearly half of their profits eaten away.

Sometimes I wonder if those who legislate are really aware of what they're doing. The only result that such a proposal can achieve is to once again confirm that when it comes to innovation or waking up, we are always the last.

We, the "industry professionals," will unite to raise our voices and the voices of all Italian investors to those in charge, hoping that, for once, they will decide to listen to us and reason.
