There are many ways to store our cryptos, from the hot wallets which are those that are constantly connected to the internet and in which we could give the custody of the cryptos to a company as in the case of Binance, or there are also the cold wallets, which are those that are not connected to the internet and in which we have full custody of the cryptos.
Both types of wallets are important for the crypto ecosystem because they give us different services to which we must access in order to have many benefits at the same time, and in the case of cold wallets, we have that they work as safes in which we can store cryptos safely but in which there cannot be many benefits besides the great security they can have.
In the case of hot wallets we can have a disadvantage in terms of security, but we can have the advantage of being able to earn money through the cryptos that we already have, as in the case of doing Trading, but also being able to do staking or add liquidity to the protocols that give us confidence.
Certainly it can happen that they have a hack attack and lose part of the funds, but this is something unlikely to happen if the Exchange has already had previous experiences and if they have learned to manage security, so it may happen that they become very safe, but it is also true that we do not have full custody of our funds, but this is a sacrifice that we must make if we want to have a broader benefit with various financial services.
It is good that we have our cryptos diversified in several places, and always considering that it is certainly good to have a safe with a part of our funds, but it is also good that we have a part of our funds generating more interest on what we have, since what we will have in the safe is not necessarily going to give us benefits external to the volatility of the price it has.
Both types of wallets are important and neither is better than the other, as both have strengths and weaknesses and it is up to each person to decide on what best suits what they want but also to decide what amount of money to have in each for a balance between safety and performance.

Existen muchas maneras de guardar nuestras criptos, desde las wallets calientes que son aquellas que se encuentran conectadas a internet de forma constante y en las cuales podríamos dar la custodia de las criptos a una empresa como en el caso de Binance, o también están las wallets frías, que son aquellas que no están conectadas a internet y en las cuales tenemos la custodia completa de las criptos.
Ambos tipos de wallets son importantes para el ecosistema cripto porque nos dan distintos servicios a los cuales debemos acceder para poder tener muchos beneficios al mismo tiempo, y en el caso de las wallets frías, tenemos que funcionan como cajas fuertes en las cuales podemos almacenar las criptos de manera segura pero en la que no pueden existir muchos beneficios además de la gran seguridad que pueden tener.
En el caso de las wallets calientes podemos tener una desventaja en cuanto a la seguridad, pero podemos tener la ventaja de poder ganar dinero a través de las criptos que ya tenemos, como en el caso de hacer Trading, pero también poder hacer staking o agregar liquidez a los protocolos que nos den confianza.
Ciertamente puede ocurrir que tengan un ataque de hackers y que pierdan parte de los fondos, pero esto es algo poco probable que ocurra si la Exchange ya ha tenido experiencias anteriores y si han aprendido a manejar la seguridad, por lo que puede ocurrir que lleguen a ser muy seguras, pero también es cierto que no se tiene la custodia completa de nuestros fondos, pero este es un sacrificio que debemos hacer si queremos tener un beneficio más amplio con varios servicios financieros.
Es bueno que tengamos nuestras criptos diversificadas en varios lugares, y siempre considerando que ciertamente es bueno tener una caja fuerte con una parte de nuestros fondos, pero también es bueno que tengamos una parte de nuestros fondos generando más intereses sobre lo que tenemos, ya que lo que tendremos en la caja fuerte no necesariamente van a darnos beneficios externos a la volatilidad del precio que tenga.
Ambos tipos de wallets son importantes y ninguna es mejor que otra, ya que ambas tienen puntos fuertes y puntos débiles y depende de cada persona decidir sobre que es lo que más se ajusta a lo que quiere pero también decidir que cantidad de dinero tener en cada una para un balance entre seguridad y rendimiento.
