As we know, the Leo team has been focused lately on Leofinance (now INLEO), instead of trying to push in different directions at the same time, a strategy I agree with.
Particularly in the defi space, a bear market doesn't seem like a great time to innovate because of the scarcity of new funds.
The last time the Leo team pushed updates for its defi platforms was for Cub Finance, mainly trying to improve/stabilize the Leo Bridge.
Last discussion that I remember involving PolyCub mentioned that they are trying to create a sustainable tokenomics and revenue model for Cub Finance and then port it back to PolyCub, as it appears the tokenomics on PolyCub based on scarcity and monthly halvings of inflation didn't have the power to fuel a mechanism that would pick up the task of distributing rewards over time.
I don't know if once we enter the bull market the team will take a look at its defi platforms again. I remember Khal saying they want to add defi elements to INLEO, which makes sense from the point of view of the "Everything App" they are pursuing. The question is if they want to integrate with the existing Cub Finance and PolyCub platforms or develop something new on INLEO.
Coming to the question in the title now. Those who used the platform may remember POLYCUB comes in three forms:
- liquid as POLYCUB
- staked as xPOLYCUB (but without any lock)
- locked xPOLYCUB as vexPOLYCUB for 2 years
If you sold your POLYCUB or never locked your xPOLYCUB, you were or are free to use them as you want, when you want it.
A two-year lock is very long in crypto. I remember when I locked mine, my thinking was to support the project, but I was conscious I may not see anything or very little back from this investment (which came as an airdrop).
My vexPOLYCUB are still locked and at a current price of $0.269 per token, my holding hasn't gone to zero yet, lol. Since a bull market is coming, there is a chance it will be worth more by the time they are unlockable.
So, I wanted to calculate today when will my vexPOLYCUB be unlockable. I still have them locked for 257.54087866898146 days, which means they can be / will be unlocked at:
So... mid July. If you locked them close to the time when vexPOLYCUB was released, that's when you should expect them too.
This may be in time to catch the post-halving bull run hype. What's more important is that it will be unlocked before the next bear market.
That date may be important to remember by the team too, in case they want to keep some of the unlocking tokens on the platform in one form or another.
