Por ejemplo, son enfermos aquellos que viven dentro de un cuadro depresivo, obsesivo, posesivo, lunático, frenético, y demás síntomas de distintos trastornos cerebrales que padecemos los seres humanos; esto no quiere decir que porque estes triste y en un abrir y cerrar de ojos te sientas feliz seas un loco de remate. Frecuentemente pensamos que toda esta avalancha de emociones nos convierte en una especie de pacientes psiquiátricos, por lo que comenzamos a temer por nuestra salud mental pero la intensidad de estas emociones es la que nos alerta sobre los límites psicológicos de nuestro estado. Un hombre que sienta profundamente que ama a una mujer no es un lunático, pero dependiendo de la intensidad de su amor se desarrollan conductas que si pueden convertirlo, como la posesión de una persona en exceso al punto de frustrar su libertad, la obsesión de importunar a esta persona hasta hartarla, deprimirse por una acción no correspondida hasta que piensa en quitarse la vida; todas estas son alertas que nuestro comportamiento nos envía a la razón para detener nuestras emociones y meditar nuestra conducta para evitar posibles desgracias que terminen en algún perjuicio para con otros como para nosotros mismos. La mayoría de los asesinatos pasionales ocurren por este descontrol emocional que sufren las personas porque no tienen la capacidad de controlar la intensidad de sus emociones y se dejan llevar por sus sentimientos primarios, al punto de convertirse en bestias irracionales que actúan por instinto. Quizás es una de las razones fundamentales de los crímenes de género, la misoginia y el suicidio, pero no voy a afirmar nada sin tener el conocimiento para corroborarlo. Volviendo a la idea principal, casi todos pensamos que al momento de nuestro cambio emocional estamos experimentando algún tipo de locura, y lejos de preocuparnos por ir a un especialista, nos hacemos la idea de que somos seres únicos en nuestra locura, y que ella nos hace especiales dentro de la multitud, como por ejemplo aquellos que hablan consigo mismos cuando todos hablamos con nosotros y no hay nada de especial o lunático en ello. Es importante mencionar de nuevo que dependiendo la intensidad de las emociones es que se puede tomar como una alerta de trastorno, pues es completamente normal estar felices por la mañana y deprimidos por la tarde cuando nos hemos dado cuenta que el día ha sido un completo fracaso, o por el contrario, amanecer tristes porque amaneció nublado pero por la tarde estar enojados porque salimos a la calle sin paraguas.
